Welcome to my nightmare:

I am not leaving FR. I may be kicked off but I'm a monthly so probably for a few days I'm good to go ... ;-)

Alternate titles for this post. "Test - Do not respond to this post", "I could use a hand ...", "A moose bit my sister while I was in the shower"

Get used to my smiley - its my trademark. In even the worst situations I try to see the lighter side, its a coping mechanism I suspect.

I've been doing a lot of coping lately. This will be a close election - FYI - the dems are experts in close elections. One late night tweet and all could be lost.

This election could be a game-changer. One way or the other. America as a beacon of liberty or just another failed experiment in socialism.

Me, silly me, have imagined for years that FRee Republic was an untapped superpower of encyclopedic level of expertise in every field of endeavor that if it chose could move mountains - all with FR posts to gauge their sincerity.

I also imagine that FR could make a difference, take down the beast, elect Trump, keep the House and Senate and then fix our country. There's more to it but I'm certain that would be a good start. ;-)

It would probably be best given time considerations if we had a few experts with a bit of time over two, three days, a month. "Experts" is a loose term. We have people that know web page development, elections law inside out, polling analysis, scalability, social media, press, streaming feeds, public relations, science, history, religion, society, foreign relations, ad infinitum.

If only there was a private place to meet and hash out the details ... or ignore this post - its just our country at stake. BTW, I'm not "the guy" - you are. We can do this together but I definitely could use a hand ...

Its time ...

All for now ... stay tuned. Regarding "Ignore this post" - if nothing else FReepers will find this and rather than putting our plans out for the world to see right now a private meeting place would be great. Ideas?

FReepmail is good for the courageous. A paragraph with skills keywords, comma separated and an oath to protect and defend our country from enemies foreign and domestic. ;-)

“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.” – Sun Tzu

Sincerely,

Charlie

My fear is that this will end up being a very conventional election after all, electorally speaking. Hillary is a Romney, but a Romney with the electoral college firewall that comes built-in for democrats wins handily.

Then again, Trump might win in a landslide. The polls so scattered and the circumstances so unusual that there's no way of judging what will happen until election night. And the waiting is the hardest part, as Tom Petty said (or was it Bon Jovi?).

Yes but your choice is the Republicans or Hillary.

It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Trump is a G-d send. Working with any but maybe Cruz of the other 15-16 and HRC would already been crowned and Cruz went seriesly off the tracks so no - Trump is our guy just very unexpected in early 2015.

With his turnout and energy he should have a commanding lead. While I know polls can be used to sway opinions you ignore them at your peril. She is even with Trump and then there’s the electoral college aspect.

Looking for the variable electoral map site ...

She starts with 230. Trump maybe 180?

If I'm reading you right then you are suggesting some sort of stealthy operation to counterattack the Democrats either during the election or after.

An operation large enough to have a meaningful effect will necessarily be impossible to keep quiet. It will be discovered and either infiltrated and undermined or counter punched.

Freepers will be unwilling to do anything illegal such as hacking Democrat websites, stuffing ballot boxes, etc. So there will be no shortcuts to outwitting the Dems.

Short term, the best that I think that can be done is to try and limit the amount of voter fraud we believe the Dems will engage in.

Long term I think we need to take a page from the Dominionists and think about encouraging our children (and our children's children) to fan out into the "seven kingdoms" to spread conservative values throughout society.

The Republicans appear to have signed some consent decree preventing them from acting against voter fraud. However, independents, Libertarians, Green Party members, etc. probably wouldn't be as hamstrung. So if you are conservative, but not a registered member of the Republican Party you might be able to work against voter fraud.

As far as long term trends go, however, I am not optimistic at all. I fear that conservative parents will mostly encourage their children to go into safe professions or trades where they can make a buck and provide for their families. This will leave the universities, news media, courts, government, etc. to the liberals who will continue to poison our society.

Okay. How many rations of rum do we get if we join your secret plot? Just so you know, I won’t sail the bounty seas ‘cause there’s things swimming in the deep blue that can eat me in one bite.

You also have terrible taste in “music”. What we also have is the GOPe. We gave them power of the purse in 2010 and the Senate in 2014. And what do we have to show for it? Nothing but Continuing resolutions, a lawless pResident, and a Boehner promise to do nothing not to mention Yertle the Turtle. So how might we actually save our country.

I have an idea or two ...

We help ensure Trump’s election, keep the Senate and the House and use our Congress to keep Mr. Trump within constitutional boundaries as we save America from its current fate.
*************************

The same Congress that has given the Kenyanesian Usurper everything he has wanted?

Obama is not a natural born citizen, so we are already outside the Constitutional boundaries.
I’m not in the least worried about Trump.
He loves this country, Obama hates it.

"Also" in addition to what? That's all I posted. If you have an idea spit it out or you're nothing more than that obscure Asian dude chanting "I have an apple."

Thanks, I was wondering if I stroked out while reading or had an absence seizure like Illiarily gets, while reading it.

I like that too - thanks. Do me a favor and ask the Admin Moderator to change the title. Good luck with that. ;-)
