Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

You can sneak over in the middle of the night and spray paint what I wrote on my garage door if you like.

"Without God, there is no Republic regardless."

That is a given. And as we are witnessing, a G-d given Republic can not be kept unless this christian nation votes as if there is a G-d. Fact is we are sliding into a post-christian America that has been defeated by secular pop culture.

Your profile says you're from Mississippi.

My suggestion doesn't apply to folks in red states.

Unfortunately your only option is to vote for a Republican who will most likely continue the policies of Obama and Bush before him, but at a slower pace.

And yes I know the Green Party are worse than the Democrats. My belief is that they will never amount to enough to actually have any power by themselves. The greenies within the Democrat party, however, do have a lot of pull on the Democrat party. My suggestion is based on a hope that the greenies will do less damage on their own ... and more damage to the Democrat Party ... if they were their own separate and official party.

Best of luck to all of us.

We may be screwed, and we are under Divine judgement, but we have to vote in November anyway. No, MR won’t save our country. But he won’t destroy it by handing it over to the Muslim Brotherhood like zero will.

2 Chronicales 7:l4 aptly applies. “..if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Yes, we need to humble ourselves, yes we need to pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways.

And yes we need to vote against the Kenyan communist zero in November.

I am a Texan stuck in Cali, and I am seriously considering doing what yoh suggested. That said, I’m not sure that I can pull the lever for Mittens, let alone some truly anti-God Gia whoreshipper...

Was he slapped down on any of this by the legislature or by state or federal courts?

Did he do it by executive order?

Send me details, please.

I have deliberately avoided reading up on Romney as I wanted to keep my lunch on the inside of my body.

Cheers!

I have been on this site and loved it for many many years. Can't even begin to count the number of hours I have spent on here.

I get the sad feeling I am watching it die before my very eyes though.

I feel the same way.

There is no question of my principles - I will not bow to evil.

Now where are your principles you put them at the altar of a CULT LEADER that, personally, married faggots and instill abortion is his socialistic healthcare! Did you ever think you would bow so low that filth wouldn't bother you?

NOW if you KNOW God - you would know HE said, give unto Caesar what is to Caesar. You don't - so it is NO WONDER you bow to the godless!

Absolutely, I will be willing to go to jail or death for being a child of GOD!

They can't do anything to me that will harm me - ABSENT FROM THE BODY, PRESENT WITH THE LORD! He's with me now and He said He will NEVER leave me. I'm here one minute and with HIM for eternity the next second!

You fearful faithless group - bowing to evil for some 'good life' you think for a few years? And NOT one thought about eternity? You certainly are no rocket scientist's, that's for sure. Dumber than dirt!

Come on GW, likely you know the details of all this and if you don’t, the Romney file on the front page is there for all to see.

If he governed constitutionally or conservatively, 99% of us naysayers would have no reason to complain. But he didn’t. And his history is not scrubbable as so many have tried to do. An assault weapons ban with his sig exists. That one thing proves my assertion.

“GOD is the TOP OF THE TICKET - HE IS at the TOP of everything. He knows all and sees all. “

Ok, then write in the letters G O D on your ballot. That will show zero!! Oops! zero thinks HE is God so he gets the vote, right?

Sheesh.

Dang JR. Just can’t get off your high horse?

LOL

Two mods left? Fine. I had noticed some favoritism from one or two, who had quashed articles or comments before.

In regards to Paul Ryan I could not be happier. A very intelligent man who is extraordinarily filled with facts and the very exceptional ability to articulate the problem at hand and can press a reasoned solution without making it personal.

Bottom line, he is the best pitchman for reform and will swamp Biden at the debate. Additionally, he will be an excellent point man for marshalling people and resources to help us accomplish our goals.

Can’t stand Mitt though for the reasons you, others and have articulated.

He will have to earn his stripes with me if he expects my support in 2016.

Thank you again for the best venue evuh where we can express our opinions and occassionally argue.

"So, you’re voting for a godless Marxist instead. Every vote counts, either for or against. ABO. Period."

There are three ways to vote in solid blue states like California:

1. Vote for Obama, the supposedly godless Marxist who is as in bed with Goldman Sachs as Bush was (so was Bush a godless Marxist too?)

2. Vote for Romney or the Constitution Party Candidate or the Libertarian Candidate or ... and basically throw away your vote.

3. Vote strategically for the Green Party. If they get 5% of the national popular vote they will be able to make a case for inclusion in future debates and can ask for government funding. This will turn them into a thorn in the side of the Democrats.

I am sick and tired of people who claim to be thoughtful conservatives who want those of us living in solid blue states to naively throw away our votes.

My vote is a powerful tool which I will use intelligently. I will not vote for Romney because that would be stupid and childish. Voting for the Green Party, however abhorrent that party is, is an intelligent and thoughtful attempt to create a party that can siphon off the loony left from the Democrat Party and give the Republicans a chance to maintain a majority as the demographics move against them.

This is exactly right. It is a tactical decision. I think the opposition to Romney fails to understand this, or falls into two camps: those who don't really believe -- all rhetoric and evidence to the contrary notwithstanding -- that our plight is all that desperate, or, who think the cause is lost so nothing matters. The former are not realists. The latter are defeatists (although they may, unfortunately, be right.) Personally I've got to continue to believe that as long as there's life there's still some hope in fighting.

It's tactical and it's bitter to swallow. But this really is it. 0 goes in November, or we do.

If we actually followed that scripture, we wouldn’t be facing voting for Romboma.
