Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Is Obama below 50% approval in CA? Do you know?

I think your time would be better spent getting all the people fired up about voting in conservatives locally. It’s the liberals up and down the state who’ve wrecked havoc on California. Getting rid of Boxer and Feinstein all a host of others would immediately begin to improve California businesses and lives.

I’m not Jim, but if Mormons want to only vote for Mormons, they will only win elections in Utah and Idaho. Neither State has enough electoral votes to really impact the Presidential election anyway.

But I guess it’s great that you think they are such a powerful 1.5% of the population.

Don’t let resettozero/aka zero/aka 0/aka obamabot get under your skin. Ignore name callers. resettozero/zero/0/obamabot is probably some 12 year old kid in his/her mom’s basement.

I don’t know but I’m not voting for this dirty RINO bastard, regardless of religion:

I had to laugh at this. It has got to be one of the most ironic posts I have ever seen on FreeRepublic!

Sure people can change. Here’s an idea though. How about the person show spme evidence of that change before we take it as truth they have...much less elect them president of the United States first?

Not so much to ask of a person with a lifetime of anticonstitutional activity behind him is it? Really? Is it?

How about such a person demonstrate a willingness to change rather than put out press releases supporting gays in the military and the Boy scouts? Or a renunciation of the funding and legislative support he gave to the abortion cause?

Is that REALLY so much to ask?

But he will not as he supports those things fully and uses the economy as a shield and diversion. Economies rise and fall. Countries come and go. Your conscience and soul if you believe you have one, is eternal. And your choices matter.

“The VP Office really means nothing except for a few days after the pick is announced.”

Really? Because Lyndon Johnson was picked for VP, we got the biggest dose of socialism ever foisted on the U.S.

This old stuff of “I won’t vote for Romney because he is not perfect” is just bad citizenship, pure and simple. This ain’t rocket science. If you think Obama is a better choice than Romney, then vote for Obama. Otherwise, vote for Romney.

Can you really understand? I can’t understand how those who will easily say “YES” if asked do they trust God. And the next minute they are fearful of what man will do to them!

Obviously their words are bogus! Just like satan knew they would be with his fear tactic.

So you say it is true, and then you say you are going to try it anyway, you should just change your tag line, it doesn’t fit.

Well, as always, it depends on whose numbers you believe, if any.

But frankly, it’s been a grueling week and I haven’t had a moment to look at any of them.

I’ll be doing that as we ramp up in California.

But whatever they say, it doesn’t fundamentally change what we have to do in any case.

I’m very committed to rebuilding California from the bottom up politically. Have been for years. And I believe it’s doable.

Since we are both in California, we have the luxury of voting our conscience because California is lost. If I were in a swing state where it mattered, my view might be different.

Thank you for this common sense observation. It is easy to take a firm principled stand when it is not likely to affect the outcome, but in the swing states, the issue is not quite so clear. There are some issues where I agree with Romney and others I don't, but there are no issues where I agree with Oboma. Since one or the other will be elected to serve as president for the next four years, I will vote for the one I believe will be the best in the dual role of chief executive and commander in chief. I will continue to look elsewhere for my religious and moral leadership.
