Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Yes, we see who is a true believer even when the furnace is turned up seven times hotter!

As you know, the fire didn’t touch them and not a smell of smoke on them! Because God was right with them as He never leaves nor foresakes those who TRUST in HIM only and would never bow to evil like in Daniel 3 with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

If I understand the house-passed “Ryan Budget” correctly, there is no reduction in BASELINE Federal Spending.

Ryan’s “Budget” also relies on “growing the economy” to generate the income required to “save” the damn entitlements that have bankrupted the US Treasury.

Lots of smoke and mirrors with Ryan, but does his spending plan solve the problem of the Feds not living within their means in 3 years?

(3 years is reality, as the first year is already committed, and the 4th year is basically running for office. The ever popular 10 years is merely a commie 5 year plan times 2).

________________

Romney’s advisors obviously picked Ryan, because Mighty Mitt seems oblivious to the fact that his new running mate is a Catholic who opposes gun control, gays, etc.

Should be an interesting few weeks before Tampa. A la’ 2008, the Veep will draw bigger crowds that the Head RINO, IMHO.

Romney is still hopeless using nuances in his speeches, when red meat is required - - - .

“Ya can’t pick up a turd by the clean end!
That is true, and appropriate to Romney.”

True. But obama is not even as worthy as a turd!

God is powerful enough to do whatever he wants. But the question remains unanswered IF he is doing so or if this is all ‘hopeful’ thinking on the ABOers part.

When one has to rationalize their vote for a liberal abortion/homo supporting liar by using God to do it, they should perhaps rethink their position.

Thank you for your answer. I have no problem with questions about God's plan going unanswered, I trust Him to know that His plan is correct whatever it is. All I can do as a Christian is read the Bible, pray that He aligns my will to His, and try to discern the path He wants me to follow.

Doing so tells me that all men but Jesus are imperfect so all elections will be a choice between lesser evils. We are told to render to Ceaser what is his, so we are not to deliberately oppose a government simply because it is not Christian. We are also instructed to invest our talents wisely for the most profit for our Master. I do so by always voting for the candidates that I believe are mostly likely to lessen evil in our world.

Regarding "using God" to rationalize my vote, I try to follow God's wishes in ALL that I do. I will keep praying about it, though, and will continue to pray that Romney sees the truth and is saved.

I don’t consider Obama an improvement over Romney in terms of homosexual appeasement and statist tendencies.

Romney is unlikely to takeover Big Oil and Big Pharma, but Obama can’t wait to do just that. Obama and National Socialists of Germany have same M.O.’s.

I wish we had a better choice at top of ticket, but we don’t. So I can take my toy and run home or vote GOP/Ryan.

Romney can’t win California. Everybody knows it.

So, someone might as well take a serious run at Obama. Might as well be me.

Take the blinders off and try to think outside the box once in a while.

Ask yourself what the result will be if Obama loses California.

I don't think Obama would make it two years of a second term before impeachment. His own party would ditch him to make room for a better 2016 contender.

Better to think; 'outside the box'.

Perhaps you have not noticed, that Obama is promising his own 'stiffer spine'; whereby, he has thus far; only practiced/exerted, in increments of 'self-annointed' power; his MO of going beyond Congress; so challenging our 'checks and balances'. Obama has articulated his penchant; his desire; his need; and his intention, of ruling by 'dictate'/fiat whenever necessary - and that 'next term' he will exercise more personal 'Will'. It it the 'flexibility' Obama speaks of; per his second term. Believe him.

These people are about 'power' - without any 'beholding' to honorable means to accomplish their goals. Believe it.

These people have waited 'lifetimes' for American power to be, in 'their hands'. We know it to be representational; they see it quite differently. They believe it is 'theirs'; and giving it up is; no doubt; unthinkable, to their Leadership and core constituency.

Obama is slowly shifting gears into a 'new' paradigm. New; at least, for America; and one, not framed by our Constitution. He has tested these waters; and found; he CAN walk on it. And thus far; no has stopped him. Election 2012 is the biggest and most critical test, to do just that. It is up to us, to stop Obama; if he does not in fact, find a way to stop us,first.

Am left to ask; what part of Obama's commitment to 'fundamental change'; all the while; ignoring/dismantling, Rule of Law/our Constitution; is escaping your attention or concern?

I can’t believe it has been since 1996 when I first came here. How time has flown. My respect for you is enormous, my friend. Since we are both in California, we have the luxury of voting our conscience because California is lost. If I were in a swing state where it mattered, my view might be different.

That having been said, I do not believe I am an alarmist when I say that four more years of Obama unrestrained is going to destroy this nation. Romney must defeat him. And then, we work together and fight hard as hell to stop his social agenda and win this culture war in which we are engaged.

I agree!! Shows careers are more important to them, they will flip over for it. People sell their souls all the time because of their pride. They claim God out of one side of their mouth, yet become partners with evil.

You prove my point about purity. Justice Scalia made a hypothetical point about legal vulnerabilities to the 2nd amendment. He did not say he would use this vulnerability to attack the 2nd amendment. So you write Scalia off and call him a clown. You do this in part because he is a catholic. He is not pure enough for you. The fact that you do not see an upside in voting for “these clowns” speaks more to you than the ones you condemn.
