I had a friend whose father and brother were first generation Americans growing up in Chicago. When Pearl Harbor was attacked, both men independently took off to go to their local recruiting stations to enlist the next morning, but only his father made it there. His uncle was jumped and beaten so bad that he became a vegtable, and was still wearing diapers and being fed in the middle 1970's. That's what blind racism sometimes brings you. On the other hand, his father went on to become one of the soldiers in the 442nd that won a Silver Star,a Bronze Star, and 3 Purple Hearts.

I can understand interning and deporting Foriegn Nationals but most were American Citizens and didn't deserve the treatment they received.
