A less well-known command given at this battle was, "Aim for the gorgets." The gorget was an ornate plate worn by British officers.

Besides being one of the three or four most important figures in the patriot movement in New England, Dr Warren was also did groundbreaking work in treating smallpox, standards for qualifying physicians, etc. He's a fascinating figure & I'm surprised he doesn't receive as much attention as does Revere, the Adamses, etc.
