Air policeman, that like an MP?

He was probably more qualified to organize a defense than the CO. Most MP types are. I still think there must be a way to get rid of that bad idea on wheels known as the Stryker. All the high tech gizmos in th world won't help you survive if the fuel tank's on fire, or you're stuck in sand.

The Stryker has it's place but not as a rplacement for heavy armor. I think the Marines have the right idea with their LAV.

His unit provided security inside the perimeter of the airbase at Bien Hoa, from what I understand. Another unit provided security along the river and outside the perimeter. I am hoping he will post with us on these threads. I think the Airforce called them Air Policemen until right after he left Vietnam. In 67 (I think) they changed the name. I am real bad about recalling the details and he isn't here at the moment so I can ask. :(
