Color blindness kept me out of Armor. Ended up as an Engineer and then later a Mortarman. I have the orignal Longbow and still play European Air war every once in a while. I love the ME-262!

You wouldn't happen to know if IL-2 Sturmavik is worth getting, would you?

Il-2 is good, but very difficult to get the hang of.
I played Combat Flight Sim from MS w/ the 2nd best joystick I could find, and IL-2 makes CFS look like childs play.

Oooh.
Sounds almost as bad as "Chuck Yeager's Combat Flight Sim"
If you didn't have a good enough processor (A 386 20 or so at the time...) it beat the heck out of your frame rate.

And thus, your controls as well.

Take a look at 639, one of my posts, and see if you can recall that little mess going on in 1998.

I thought it as funny that the OC's 9Observer Controllers) couldn't figure out why we were in MOPP gear.

We were all wandering about the perimeter checking the concertina wire and making sure the neighbors didn't get ideas and the OC's were all scratching their heads.

Oh, wow. Why am I not surprised? Clinton and his ilk (some of my generation) is the worst thing that ever befell these United States! I fear that the Bush's are just to involved in the one-world-order business. I also fear that the powers that be just may be allowing the Al Queda and others into the US so that we will have an internal conflict that will ultimately work toward destroying our soveriegnty. Who would have thunk.

I heard it was ok but it's too much for my machine. I haeard the graphics are really great but the flight characteristics are way to generous.

I heard about that, never did figure out if it was urban legend or not.

Well, in my unit it wasn't an urban legend.
And a bunch of our boys (Five) thought it was okay to fire on our own countrymen if a boy in a blue bonnet told them to.

Burned me up at the time, since Clinton was the CINC then.
And at the same time there was that UN gathering in Washington state, where the US signed a proposition with teh globalists in the "Gaia room". I know, it sounds conspiracy theorist, but it happened. And the UN wanted to know if the US military would be upset at working for the UN. Like that isn't already happening, but...

So the question came up in my unit, and those five idiots spoke.

IL-2 probably is too much for my machine anyway.. ;-)
K6-2 500 with a Riva TNT...... (Yikes!)

I would like to know more about the lock-down during elections. Why isn't this stuff publicized? It should be!

I took a peek at the DUmb comments you linked to. Hahahaha! I really like this one:

"Air Force officers are by far the most solidly conservative.... ...cadre of the military, to my knowledge. I'm guessing you don't have the misfortune of knowing what a cesspool of whacked out militia nuts and fringe 'Christian' cultists Colorado Springs has become...."

I didn't attend the AF Academy, but I am solidly conservative and a Christian.

Excuse me now while I go disinfect myself after having contact with some of the left's wacky writings. hehehehe

Nice pix, BTW. I guess Army captains get far more respect than blue-suiters! Nobody ever 'exalted' my bars. hahahahaha!

Nice to meet you! Are you still on active duty?

I knew a couple officers and nco's in the Army that were a waste of air.

So did I! It really burned my butt to see an AF major I worked for get promoted when he was a real loser but a good suckup. And, some of my friends got RIFed - instead of others who were dead wood. I guess it's the same no matter what service you're in.
