The mayor of Jacksonville has responded to growing outrage after Jaguar Power Sports was issued a warning citation for their patriotic rooftop flag display. Store employees say the incident also involved mistreatment of a veteran.
...snip...
On Monday, Melinda Power, a city of Jacksonville inspector, issued a warning citation for the display, saying the military flags were in violation of city code. She entered the store accompanied by her supervisor.

With NAS Jacksonville and the Mayport Naval Base nearby, that seems to be a display of stupidity by the inspector and her supervisor.
My carrier’s home port was Mayport and our squadrons’ was NAS Jax in the early 1960s.
Big clue in first sentence of article.

I ll betcha ??
Camp Pendleton uniform regulations in 1968 stated ‘dungarees’ (blue jeans) were only allowed when participating in a rodeo or working on your car.
I was run in by the Shore Patrol for being in town wearing a shirt without a collar. For that ‘crime’, I was confined to base for two weekends.
There is a BLM/feminist infection in St Augustine and Jacksonville about removing confederate soldier monuments, as if they were former Stasi or something. This is a communist extension of that
“She [Power] says ‘What did you do for this country?’” Klasse said. “He says ‘I took three bullets to the leg. I almost lost my life for this country. I’m retired. I’m a veteran.’ She gets in his face this close and says ‘You did nothing for this country.’”
What a cow!
Whew. All in all, a feel good story.
Power-Mad government employees abuse store.
Liberals show their true faces on camera for the world to see.
Liberal opens mouth, inserts foot, disses veteran who has powder dry and ammunition ready to return fire.
Company gets loads of additional publicity and business, love pours in, pizza, flowers, gifts, active duty and retired military walking in to patronize store and express love.
Mayor supporting store to set example.
Power-Mad Leftist government bureaucrat punished.
Gotta love it! Made me smile...better that it didn’t happen at all, but showed we still have some sanity left...:)
Just another liberal fascist at work.
I was living in a military town during Desert Storm and it basically dried up. And at that point all the people that thought the military needed to go somewhere else we’re crying the blues because sales were way down. I think it’s sort of brought them around to The Facts-of-Life regarding the monetary influence that a military base or two brings to a local area.
Ms. Powers needs a drug & alcohol screening.
Yep. When you scratch a leftist, a fascist shows through.
I have always found it somewhat humorous (even if it is occasionally irritating) that leftists successfully brand Conservatives as fascists.
I had a young girl at one of the anti-war protests in Washington, DC call me a fascist, and I remember grinning at the absurdity of it!
Cape Canaveral before vs Cape Canaveral after...
I like to vacation on the Outer Banks (well, my wife likes it).
Locals hate the Navy, hate tourists, and have told me “just go home!”
When I point out the only reason that place exist is tourism, and that they would be unemployed pretty quickly (and are three months out of the year), most calm down. When I point out that Navy families are a more consistent presence than tourists, they still get mad and demand the Navy not be allowed in.
People are stupid.
Never heard of them.
At Pentagon in 62-64, living in Quarters ‘K’ about 1/2 mile from ‘office’ and for Mid Watch 23-0700 they had to wear DRESS uniforms to work, change into dungarees for field day and change back into DressU to go back home.
Could ‘understand’ that maybe on weekdays but not weekends with very ‘few’ outsiders around.
‘They may have slacked up near end of tour and allowed Undress blues while in transit to work and home NO stops anywhere...
