Insatiably curious, excuse the familiarity, but why the "m"? Theseus and the minotaur, etc.

Stand Watie is a gentleman, an all to rare a thing. You won't find anybody of his sort hanging out in the Pete Seeger crowd.

Speaking of Libs and Lefties, since you are new here you get to hear my take on Jackson's "War of the Ring". (Epic groans from audience, smiling faces on shaking heads, here we go again!) The reason Jackson did such a poor job, disastrously, poisonously, is that Libs and Lefties cannot imagine anything but their own kind. Nobility is beyond them, like Shakespeare is to my cat. (Hey, cats are cats. Men are men.) Now, those people did a great job with Gollum - just like old Pete Seeger, eh? And darn well with Wormtongue. The rest was awful.

Speaking of the proletariat, I got a charge out of Jackson's Orcs. Jackson would hate to hear it, but his fear of the "lower classes" is showing!!

Yes, I find sw to be a true gentleman, and no, you are right, not the sort found in the scruffy unwashed Pete Seeger crowd.

I like your take on LOTR--it is a perspective I haven't heard before, especially about Jackson's Orcs (fear of blackness too perhaps on Jackson's part?)so I hope no one minds that I got to hear it! Though I find some of the actors rather easy on the eyes, I groan every time I hear a liberalism (Faramir shoots a minion of Sauron, than pokes at the dead man's feet, saying he would have rather had peace--UGH, NOT TOLKIEN).

And forgive me please, I was up on line till 4:30 a.m. so my mind is not as keen as it could be this morning--what "m" do you refer to? I do sometimes forget my own posts (i know I should look them up but I'm lazy this morning)..thanks Iris

OH I think I got it, do you mean my name? It's sort of an anagram of my real name. And yes, the story of Theseus and the minotaur always caught my imagination..sorry about the slow reaction, I haven't coffeed up yet.
