And, that, fellow Freepers, is why the First Amendment must be expanded to protect free speech in private employer-employee relationships. Maybe a SCOTUS more enlightened and open-minded than the present one (and that's not hard to imagine) will remedy this error in a future decision.

Very slippery slope.

I would prefer the free market take care of this. If there’s demand from the public, in this case Duck Dynasty, someone will put it on the air.

I don’t want to be told by the gov that I can’t fire someone who reps my company or product that voices something I’m opposed to.

I think its a shame that our world now prefers the evil over good but I don’t want the gov involved in more of my business then it already is.
