He IS drawing support from moderates who are sick of corrupt, phony politicians. The crossover Dems who support him, from what I have seen, are NOT "fringe" or extreme, they are, in general, decent people who care about protecting our freedoms and our country, they may disagree with Paul on some things, but if they actually WERE 'fringe' or extreme leftists, they sure as hell wouldn't support someone who stands for the polar opposite of everything they believe in.
