I don’t trust anything posted on Wiki since any slack jawed yokel can edit the page to suit their needs.

Second, the claim of military support has already been debunked time and time again.

If you looked at the page, it's extensively footnoted. And if you knew much about wikipdia, it's actually extremely accurate, especially on high traffic entries.

As for the military support, if you know where I can find this thorough debunking you speak of, I would love to look at it. Here are a couple of the sources cited for the military support claim in the wikipedia article.
