LOL, just how much have you been drinking tonight?

Then explain the group think of your ilk.

Believing in freedom and liberty you mean? At one time, many believed in it. Heh heh, no longer, Republicans and Democrats have fixed that haven't they?

B.) Arguments refuting his points have already been made, but it isn’t my fault that 1.) It’s beyond your comprehension and 2.) That people like you close your eyes, stick your fingers in your ears and scream LA LA LA LA just so you don’t have to accept the cold hard truth about your false idol and reality in general.

I have looked very closely at each and every one of Dr. Paul's major positions. Comparing those positions to the Framers, there is no difference. I came upon this position many, many years ago (yes there are those of us who remember Dr. Paul from his first term in office). But I see you choose the tried and true 'they've been refuted elsewhere' instead of explaining why you personally don't like his positions. Relying on the group think eh? Who's the sheep?

So yet another one is relegated to the level of one liners and posting pics. Nah, you're better with just cursing. Why if you posted in random caps I'd say....

Oh great, let’s support him because he uses gimmicks.

He is all talk, no substance.

“slick packaging”

I would not call Ron Paul slick. Romney is slick. Obama is slick. Not Grandpa Ron.

If you want to support him because of gimmicks that’s fine. They’re not too important to me.

What kind of substance are you looking for?

Aren’t you cute, you’re just about the most clever little FReeper out there, aren’t you? Nothing but snide little remarks seem to come out of your mouth do they? I just have to laugh when you Paul haters call Paul a kook, while you yourselves come across as full fledged lunatics.

Excellent post! Remember, too, when George Will was on TV shortly after 11/5, he said, “What about my man Ron Paul?”

God bless George Will for his insight!

“LOL, just how much have you been drinking tonight?”

I don’t drink.

Dulls the mind and reflexes.

“Believing in freedom and liberty you mean?”

Oh I believe in it to, but I’m not stupid enough to fall for that unrealistic pipe dream of going back to how it was back in the 19th century.

“I have looked very closely at each and every one of Dr. Paul’s major positions. Comparing those positions to the Framers, there is no difference.”

Is that before or after he pulled the wool over your eyes?

I’ve looked at all of his positions too, and he is the worst possible choice at this point in history. A hundred years ago, he may have had something going, but he fails to take into consideration that this is the 21st century. He fails to learn from history.

He has all these pie in the sky dreams but he doesn’t have any idea as to how he should follow through to achieve them.

Rational people want facts not some fluffy feel good talking points.

But by all means explain away as to HOW he is going to follow through with just one of his promises taking into consideration that he’ll have a congress that’s hostile to him.

“But I see you choose the tried and true ‘they’ve been refuted elsewhere’ instead of explaining why you personally don’t like his positions.”

Pot, kettle, black.

So now debunking can only be done by paul supporters?

Oh that’s right, you paul supporters have taken the page out of the clinton strategy book about dealing with those who tell the truth.

You see, under clinton if we said that he was a liar, a draft dodger, or an adulterer that we were using politics of personal destruction. Just like you paul supporters claim that the truth about his writings, his voting records and his petchant for pork funding are all “lies and smears”.

“So yet another one is relegated to the level of one liners and posting pics”

Well we have to make sure that you can understand.

“What kind of substance are you looking for?”

Well I’ll keep it simple for you.

How about how exactly is he going to implement just one of his promises, when he’s going to have a hostile congress to deal with?

And he has to do it without executive orders, dissolving congress, and martial law.

Pick any one of his promises

So true. In fact, his non-slickness might be a weakness, but at the same time, it sets him apart from the typical, slick, phony politicians... so it's something that makes people like him even more. Personally, I'm sick of slick politicians. When I look at most of the GOP candiates, I don't feel like they're one of us - they're insiders, and despite what they say, I don't get the feeling that they genuinely represent we the people... regular people. When I see Paul and his family, I feel that they are regular people who care about the future of this country and aren't sold out, like many of the CFR-approved "front runners."

Were Paul to win, wouldn’t you expect him to have at least some sort of a mandate? If he won, it would stand to reason that a majority of voters agreed with most of his positions, no? I would imagine most all republicans and a good number of democrats would support his bid to establish border security.

Can he do it with signing statements? That seems to be all the rage in Washington these days.

Executive orders are quite legitimate as long as they apply only to the executive branch of government.

He can do the following:
From his website:
“-Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
-Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.”

You know you could ask about the promises of any candidate. We are not electing a dictator.

Perhaps the reason why the man is running is to get people to think about their country and direction it’s been heading. I have been following him a long time and this is the only reason I can think why he is running.

He has been upfront in saying probably his biggest influence would be in foreign policy. I would also assume his veto pen would be out.

You might be looking for a Father-type President to promise you many things. I am only looking for President to help me protect my God given rights no more, no less.

The money just keeps coming in.
Just talked to Soros, our refund checks should be in the mail just in time for Christmas. So glad, been eyeing this bong at the head shop down the street. They sell tinfoil hats as well.

In other words, you have no facts to present, just emotion and barbra streisand... Pitiful. Call me when you have facts, cites, sources and details. Otherwise, as far as I’m concerned, you’re just another Paul-hating, vitriol-spewing jerk without a clue.

This retired Marine supports Dr. Paul because, IMO, no foreign terrorist gaggle can take away our Constitution and our liberty. Only we can do it to ourselves, mostly by begging FedGov to make us “secure...” no matter the cost to our liberty and our nation.

I don’t expect Ron Paul to tell his supporters not to support him,,,,,, but the man MUST know that a portion of his supporters believe in these crazy conspiracy theories. If Paul would simply state he does not agree that our own government or the president were the ones that concocted 911 I would take another look at the man. Until then, his silence on the matter is deafening!

I heard some conspiracy-talk that Hillary made JFK, Jr. an offer he couldn’t refuse (if he didn’t stay out of the NYC mayoral race) and he died within a few hours/days later. I asked the people who told me this to verify it and they said they could but I would be very surprised if it panned out at all.

If there were ever a person to refuse Hillary, it would be Ron Paul. How could Ron Paul, with an absolutely rock solid voting record over 20 years, ever go back on his word to his constituents or supporters? He is an honest man with integrity (as was my father) and he just wouldn’t - it just isn’t in his character.

I wouldn’t put it past Shrillary to threaten Ron Paul but, as a matter of conscience, Dr. Paul wouldn’t abandon his beliefs or the foundations upon which he has stood through the past four decades.
