Unless and until that money is in an actual account, I don’t count a single dime of it. Too easy for people to make a campaign promise to donate, and then not send the money in.
These are not “promises (or pledges)” to donate... these are actual “funds donated” through the https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ website...
all donations are w/ a MC/Visa/Amex/Paypal ...
This is all “Real Money” unless you are going to make the argument that many of these folks will donate then attempt to dispute/reverse the CC charges...

Huh? It is. These are online credit card and debit card donations. It isn't counted until the card debit clears.
No, these are real donations and that is how much money they've taken in today already. The money has already transferred by the time it's reported to our totals.
There is no "pledging" on RP's campaign. Either you write a check at one of his events or mail it in. Or you donate online (the vast majority of his fundraising) and it is debited immediately and added to the total and your name (normally) shows briefly in a banner on the page. Today, there may be too many donors for them to show every name.
However, at the novemberfifth.com website, we did have about 18,000 people sign up to donate $100 or more today. So that was a "pledge" but not at all associated with the RP campaign. Ron Paul and the staff just finally heard about this last week. It was the grassroots young people that dreamed this up about a month ago. They're so excited about it. LOL.
