You poor guy. You have it worse than most of us, I think. Although maybe it is just because your diocese is "out" - in which case you don't have to do a recon to see what is going on. So maybe it is a blessing, in a way.

Your man Halderman must be feeling the heat, going from the whining he did in the Beacon.

I had a neighbor translate a letter of mine regarding Pilla, the gays, the Marianists (et cetera ad nauseum) into Polish, and I have mailed it to the Holy Father and a second copy to Msgr. Dziwisz. I sent a copy in English to Cardinal Arinze. My sister-in-law is also translating it into Italian so I can send it to a few choice men in the Italian Conference of Bishops.

I am so angry about this situation in Cleveland. Yes, I've gone beyond banshee. I may take out a full page advertisement in an Italian newspaper to beg the Holy Father to step in and do something about the Marianists, Pilla, and the Archdiocese of Cleveland.

If you really, really want to go totally off the deep end, try to get a copy of "America" and read Bishop Gumbleton's essay on why gays should be ordained. He never once refers to Catholic teaching and for backup on his views, he uses quotes from "Always our Children." He does go out of his way to point out that he is heterosexual but, and I quote exactly: "Do we really want to instigate a "witch hunt" to expel from the ministry gay priests, and, I might add, gay bishops?"

You gotta look at this in a positive way - they are definitely OUT. They are definitely not in union with Rome. So you don't even need to do homework!

Has rcf gotten hold of this issue? How about the Catholic League in NY - Bill Donohue would probably love this issue! He'd chew 'em up and spit 'em out.

This stuff is coming to a head, I believe.
