BTW, all kinds of people can be sources for all kinds of things by all kinds of other people. Perhaps you knew that.

The Apostle Paul was an exceedingly out of balance, rabid zealot killing believers at one time. I'm unaware of Hagin being that far off.

You know, you pontificate a LOT about Grace.

But I observe that you extend little to none of it to much of anyone--and CERTAINLY NOT to anyone so stupid as to fail to agree with you 100%.

I fail to think of what pattern or manner of The Master you might be following in that.

Quix, I asked you to examine the historical facts. You are the one who got hysterical.

I think you mean Saul (Paul, prior to his conversion). Redemption changed him drastically. Hagin's plagarism was after conversion.

hysterical?

Really.

All I did was endeavor to speak with the same intensity and stridency with which I was spoken to.

BTW, I KNOW hysterical . . . both from at close range with my mother and as a psychologist. I probably could get there if I worked at it hard. But I don't recall the last time I was near that turf.

Perhaps you should review the sequence.

After conversion. Fair enough.

So, no one needs dramatic and whole sale significant change after conversion? You could have fooled me.

I guess I've seen this entire life on this ball as boot-camp. The ruling and reigning joint heirship is the Life.

None of those quotes have anything to do with the topic at hand. Giving honor to a man for an act of God!

Acts 28:10 They honored us in many ways and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.

This is about meeting the needs of those in ministry

Rom 12:10 Be DEVOTED TO ONE ANOTHER in brotherly love [have you EVER seen that REALLLLLYY ACTED OUT IN ANY GROUP OR CONGREGATION more than very rarely and at a relatively low level that didn't cost too much?]. Honor one another above yourselves.

This does not say to give each other the honor due to God...it says to honor each other...and to treat each other with love and concern..

Rom 13:7 [NIV IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT from the KJV which is what I've memorized mostly]. . . . If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

This is about your responsibilities as citizens...this is not about giving praise to a man for a work of God ...which was the issue

The problem is a misreading of the term honor..which in the context of theses quotes deals with money

5092 time {tee-may'} from 5099; TDNT - 8:169,1181; n f AV - honour 35, price 8, sum 1, precious 1; 43
1) a valuing by which the price is fixed
1a) of the price itself
1b) of the price paid or received for a person or thing bought or sold

2) honour which belongs or is shown to one
2a) of the honour which one has by reason of rank and state of office which he holds
2b) deference, reverence

Context is important...Scripture is more than a bunch of verses strung together

My point was not meant ot be combative...it was just a point..

I have hung out in Charasmatic circles long enough to hear the praise and glory and honor that belongs to God for a sovereign act go to a man ....just like the serpent on Moses pole

What's often amazed me--speaking of the historical record of (the hysterical?) of saints . . .

or at least of men whom God used mightily in this or that set of ways. . .

is the crud God put up with and seemed to more or less ignore for at least years at a time . . . alcoholism . . . all kinds of acting out--including--though not ignored at all--David's violence against the innocent husband. God didn't ignore it and David paid the price of violence the rest of his life. But he remained a man after God's own heart.

I'm glad God is in charge of sorting those issues and priorities out.

UHHHHHHH HELLO????

I have ABSOLUTELY NO QUARREL WITH YOU and strongly agree that certainly ultimately and behind all--ALL HONOR BELONGS TO GOD AND EXCEEDINGLY ESPECIALLY FOR HIS DIRECT AND EVEN INDIRECT ACTS.

You seem to fail to own--that YOU WROTE, SOUNDED LIKE, AT LEAST STRONGLY IMPLIED THAT MAN SHOULD NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR ANY REASON IN ANY WAY IN ANY CONTEXT GIVE ANY HONOR TO ANOTHER MORTAL EVEN BROTHER.

THAT!!!! DEAR BROTHER, was what I was responding to!!!! Sigh. And I believe those Scriptures speak quite well enough to THAT!

I'm sure you CAN track me better than you seem to have.

I haven't tracked a likely church down yet.

I'm not impressed with what I hear about any of them. The one my grandfather started is evidently going strong in it's usual style. Not sure that's where I am currently.

I'm more bruised and battered church-wise than edified and blessed.

Besides that, I think God is getting ready to turn even the authentic churches upside down and inside out. They are so full of tradition and man's assumptions too often start to finish.

I'm rather sick of services that follow in sequences out of a cookie cutter or computer program lock step and unchangeable by Holy Spirit or anyone else--even IF someone else had the courage or was aware enough of Holy Spirit's leading to want to try.

I'd probably just as soon find a good home group but I haven't heard of any of those either.

Normally I'd check out Vineyard, Calvary Chapel, 4 Square if they are the healthy type and Assemblies in more or less that order--and nondenominational that respected and cooperated with Moves of Holy Spirit in some balance and order would be high on the list, too. I HATE churchianity. And I hate playing church.

And I hate churches where the people make LOVING GOD AND LOVING EACH OTHER AS THEMSELVES AN OUTRAGEOUS MOCKERY by their actions and phoney-ness. I'd almost rather sleep with a skunk. From God's perspective, I suspect I'd come off smelling better to HIM having slept with a skunk.

Does that answer your question? Did I give you a 100 lb answer to a 5lb question? I'd be sorry but I was having fun--I guess likeing to "talk" again. It's funny, in person, I'm much more silent--USUALLY.

MAH, GOODNESS, YOU'RE GOING TO CONVINCE ME YOU'RE A JESUS FOLLOWING, JESUS ACTING, SHOR NUFF TOOTIN PEOPLE LOVING LOVE SLAVE OF GOD ALMIGHTY AND JESUS THE CHRIST IF YOU KEEP THIS UP.

BTW, Mainland Chinese men were routinely exceedingly affectionate with each other without being the least bit homosexual. I can handle "greeting one another with a holy kiss" as the Bible instructs. Say when did you last hear a sermon on that topic!

HONORED TO KNOW YOU. Your courage is impressive and I dare say, probably rarer than the 10 next most courageous people you know--in terms of relationship courage. Am I wrong?

Likewise to you, Quix. If you ever get to Baton Rouge, look me up and we can chat a bit.

BTW, I live 1 1/2 miles from Jimmy Swaggart's church.
