Do you remember the program Dawkins presented in Blind Watchmaker? Do you remember the name?

Did you even read Blind Watchmaker?

You seem to be losing focus. Why does mitosis matter? (You can't get to meiosis without it. At least, we didn't on this planet.)

No more hints. Why does sex matter? Recall you jumped into a conversation.

Why do those mitochondria have separate DNA?

Do you remember the name?

Everyone knows the name. Are you being honest about what you can understand, what you can remember, and what you have read?

Good Evidence vs bad evidence---lies-robbing-murder-fraud...

explain reasonable doubt/faith vs unreasonable doubt/faith using reality even science as the criteria!

Just don't lump/jump things together--apart!

Before you go to the next bit of socratic BS, I get your little joke.

If I have to lie to set up a joke, I don't set it up.

No. Will there be a quiz? Oh, wait! There already is!

A tallhappy compendium
(starting at post 830 because it's too bothersome go go back further):

To Vade: Your knowledge is a mile wide but an inch deep.
830 posted on 3/20/02 1:26 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To me: My point. You are as bigotted, if not more, than any extreme creationist.
831 posted on 3/20/02 1:28 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Capitalist Eric: Spoken like a true fundamentalist warning the flock not to stray to far or consider any new ideas.
852 posted on 3/20/02 2:11 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Vade: Can't read? Whatever. I think you can't see (past your blinders that is).
858 posted on 3/20/02 2:15 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Junior: Try to be coherent.
859 posted on 3/20/02 2:16 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Vade: I asked you a question, moron. Answer it.
875 posted on 3/20/02 2:28 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Vade: Hey moron, I answered the question.
879 posted on 3/20/02 2:30 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Vade: Yo moron. Answer the questions. You really have no idea do you?

To Nebullis: Once again your idiocy takes hold.
920 posted on 3/20/02 3:36 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Vade: You guys have weird ego problems or something.
935 posted on 3/20/02 4:20 PM Eastern by tallhappy

To Capitalist Eric: What are you babbling about. Please focus and remember coherence is important.

If I've overloaded your circuits, just do the mitochondria one. AF has no excuse not to know the one about sex.

This one was so unintentionally funny I nearly woke up the cat laughing. Capitalist Eric's post was in no sense a stern injunction to JediGirl.

Our methodology--philosophy, good or as bad as it is, pretty much determines the outcome. We seem to be battling goblins and shadows and not the substance-reality. I like the agnostic---not really knowing position better. We all seem to be defending our "bias"---bashing others and not examining our subjective approaches-appeals! Everyone thinks it is hopeless and we are wasting our time--energy!

Why not try something different---methodology/bias!

Why don't you like me, then? (Sniff!) You called me a bank-robber-murderer! (Boo-hoo!)

Seems to me as a "Gestalt" theorist we spin bridges--sail ships over unchartered seas/continents...oh my Clark from the Lewis fame went mad--zonkers. No wonder they missed the Colombia River---"ooreeegon"...the Great NW passage by a few miles and went through the Rocky mountains on foot---no trails. Fifty years before that, one expedition went west and was never heard from. Eternity is an abyss, we should navigate it carefully!

Atheism is throwing map--compass--constellations away. There are no cut offs--shortcuts...lotta broken down wagons--sunken ships--Donner parties!

Plans--methodology matters!

It occurs to me that schools are letting out in California just when I get hungry in the evenings here in the east. What juvenile screeds will I be reading later tonight?

What expedition vanished into the West in the early 1750s? The French controlled the Ohio Valley, the Mississippi Valley, and Canada at the time. (To be lost a few years later in the French-and-Indian War.)

No wonder they missed the Colombia River---"ooreeegon"...the Great NW passage by a few miles and went through the Rocky mountains on foot---no trails.

They found the Columbia. They missed the South Pass (used by the later Oregon Trail), which would have made for a heck of lot easier trip over the Rockies. But, by going as far as possible up the Missouri to the Bitterroots, they left themselves much too far north to find it.

Your main point is that they had no real way of knowing the best way up front. That's why being the pioneer is a big deal.

Alas! That makes it a "maybe." I wish Hollywood could be trusted with history but it was never true and certainly isn't now.

I'm surprised with the Indain guides they missed it.

Thought they went to far south...missed the Snake river that goes into the Columbia!
