It’s hilarious that an apostate from the Catholic Church is preaching to Catholics about who is “faithful”.

Do you not realize your hypocrisy, metmom?

And for your information, AMPU is not a Catholic, he’s an apostate from the Catholic Church, like yourself.

So you are defending a Catholic pope who blesses sodomite "marriages"?

Are you defending a Catholic pope who worships a pagan Pachamama idol in the the Basilica of St Peter's?

Are you defending a Catholic pope who believes non-christians need not convert to Christ for their salvation?

Are you defending a Catholic pope who believes the communists have stolen the Christians' flag?

If you are not defending the above pope, metmom, why are you claiming I'm attacking him, when I criticize him for the above positions of his?

Please explain your hypocrisy. Try as you might.

The issue is you're attacking your duly and legally elected pope in clear contrast to RC teaching.

It is you, ebb, who is the heretic of Rome.

However, your bigger issue is the idol around your neck.

You've listened to another gospel, which is to say a false gospel.

Why do you make so many assumptions?

Recognizing him as the officially, by the College of Cardinals, elected pope is not defending him, which I think you know quite well.

So, have you stopped beating your wife yet?

I’m not the one putting myself forth as a faithful Catholic
while discrediting the same church every time I turn around.

You’re the one bragging up about how Catholic you are.

It’s no stretch to conclude that you consider yourself a faithful Catholic.

But maybe I’m wrong.

Maybe you’re not after all. And that seems probably what with the way you have turned on the Catholic leadership.

Whatever happened to *Once a Catholic, always a Catholic*, and that baptism leaves (allegedly)n an indelible mark on the soul?

And why didn’t you courtesy ping amoreperfectunion when you mentioned him by name in your post as per Catholic protocol?

Do you really think you’re too good or special to be bothered with normal common courtesy?

You’re the one bragging up about how Catholic you are.

How so? By merely calling out your apostasy from the Catholic Church?

Look up heretics and apostates. Neither of them, e.g., you or AMPU, are in communion with the Catholic Church.

I find it ironic that one of you claims he is, while the other claims she's not; yet you support each other in your attacks on the One, True Church. You guys can't even get your "stories" straight.

I'll repeat myself. Why should any Catholic listen to one has left the Church when she pontificates on who is Catholic or not?

You remind me of the muslim who tells a Jew that he's not a good Jew.

It’s OK, among we Romanian Catholic FReepers,
we know there’s a guy who opposes our church daily.

And our pope.

We pray for him.

Hopefully he won’t miss the rapture.

He may not be the Pope, but he sure as heck is a dope.

Whatever happened to *Once a Catholic, always a Catholic*, and that baptism leaves (allegedly)n an indelible mark on the soul?

Baptism creates an indelible mark on the soul. A validly baptized person cannot be "un-baptized" -- although the pagan devotees of Mithra tried -- nor can he be re-baptized.

However, canon law is very clear in section 1394:

With due regard for can. 194, part 1, n. 2, an apostate from the faith, a heretic or a schismatic incurs automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication and if a cleric, he can also be punished by the penalties mentioned in can. 1336, part 1, nn. 1, 2, and 3.

So a heretic is still a "Catholic" de jure, but an excommunicated one, until such time as he repents of his heresy and makes that repentance known to competent church authority.

What happens when that person is already the highest earthly competent church authority, is a topic of -- unfortunately not necessarily theoretical -- debate.
