I agree with all you said, Keep in mind you are making my point that such issues are not always black and white wrong like the statement “killing yourself is always a sin.”
I keep repeating, I am unsure on this issue and people are upset I would even consider this may not be so morally clear and believe there is only one way to understanding this and their way is perfectly clear, they have spoken for God in the absolute morality of this issue. I see that as a strange position.
It has also become possible to limit and control the process enough that parents can attempt to birth all the embryo’s created, they can keep the number small enough so as to make it possible, expensive but part of the process.
As I said earlier, there are many here who assume they know everything about this and can declare with perfection on this issue.
Most abnormal chromosomal complements are incompatible with life. Analysis of miscarried embryos show that chromosomal abnormalities are constitute a large number of these spontaneous deaths (~60%). The most common chromosomal abnormality is Trisomy 16 which occurs in 26% of losses. Trisomy 16 is incompatible with life and has never been described progressing more than 11 weeks of gestation.
It would be malpractice to implant such an embryo. There is no need for common sense to conflict with morality.
Sorry but your facts are not facts.
