one of my favs as a kid we sang in st.mathews missouri synod Lutheran church was

A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.

( early Lutherans were bashed for singing this devils song cuz the melody, like many songs in the old Lutheran hymnal were, gasp, old pub beer drinking song melodies )

no music style or melody is intrinsically evil,

Still though this rock and or roll music churches play just does not do it for me.

Like this? It's a little rough on the keyboardist and drummer, and is longer than the usual 5-6 minute length for worship songs.

Contemporary Christian Music is not very good and just imitating the world in many ways.

After 13 years of searching for a good traditional Baptist church, we finally landed at a PCA Presbyterian Church.

NO Contemporary “Christian” music.
NO screens flashing lyrics to hymns.
Sing traditional hymns out of actual hymnals.

The day a “praise chorus” rears it’s head will be our last Sunday there.
