Why ask if it is real? The good book clearly states it is a real condition. Drug addiction, alcoholism, sex addictions…..the good news is those that believe ( not Lukewarms) can get on their knees and Pray for Deliverance.
Those Christians that do not believe in Spirits, Satan etc….are not Christians, and have little hope in receiving Deliverance…..” Depart, I never knew you…”
Under the Old Covenant:
In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.Jeremiah 31:29
But at the cross:
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.John 19:29-30.
Now under the New Covenant:
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for usGal.3:13.
On the cross, Christ redeemed us from the generational curse.
Jesus' blood redeemed me from past, present and future sin & curse.
If a Believer believes he is under a generational curse - that 'belief' is a self imposed curse. It's bad believing.
"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." - Proverbs 27:3
To be a Christian one must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
To say otherwise is blasphemous and insane
Thank you
No.
Physiological addictions yes, generational curses, no. That’s superstitious and removes volition from a spiritual decision.
That was Old Testament stuff. The game has changed.
“We have been redeemed from the curse of the law, Jesus having been made a curse for us, as it is written, ‘cursed is anyone who is hung upon a tree’”. Of course, we must stand on that Scripture, and that often takes time.
if you’re a born again Christian, you are a first generation heir to GOD. There is no generational curse.
The damage that sin causes doesn’t just impact the person; it damages the lives of their children and grandchildren.
Modern scholars refer to this as cycles of abuse but the Bible knew it thousands of years ago.
I am in the place I am because many generations worked hard, sacrificed, and built wealth to pass on to me. My parents gave me a good life, a college education, and a sizeable inheritance.
My husband and I were able to provide a good home, an honorable upbringing, a Renaissance education, college and a car to each of our children.
When I die, each of my children will inherit at least quarter of a million dollars.
My brother was given the same opportunities. He wasted his fortune and life on 3 failed marriages, alcoholism, a gold-digging 304, and fast living. He will leave his only child with nothing.
His sin made her life hard. It set her back, which means her children will be starting off with less as well.
God knew what he was talking about.
No need for Bible studies.
I have long disagreed with Moses on his interpretation of the generational curse.
I do not believe that God intended this to be a warning about a curse from God. I believe God was telling us that we could create such a curse all on our own.
The warning is that our misdeeds can reverberate down through the generations.
Just ask anyone named Hitler about this principle.
You’re talking physiological and just dumb, mean people. Everyone has a choice.
If each person was condemned for the foolishness of their ancestors there would be no redemption at all.
Some modern scholars are fools. This includes some pastors who just milk a person for praying against generational sin for a few more bucks. Same goes with psychologists.
2 Cor 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Either Jesus forgives or he doesn’t.
It is not God that condemns them; they, through their own choices, wreak havoc on the lives of their children and, ultimately, their grandchildren. It’s reality. It usually takes 3 cycles to recover, unless the children are very strong and can break free sooner.
God was trying to warn them against it. Modern society finally caught up.
Have fun asking forgiveness and praying the demons out of people that just need love and encouragement to overcome.
Not buying the generational sins.
Sorry dealing reality is so difficult for you. Please work on your reading comprehension, as well.
Meanwhile, in the real world, I’ll be following God’s advice and recognizing that my sins don’t just hurt me, they can damage the people around me, and leading people away from it wherever I can.
generartional sins is not reality. Same thing Mormons, Chinese and some Catholics do. It’s a money maker.
