Not long ago we had several kids attempt to walk away without consuming. They were swiftly intercepted by members of the parish, and told by very big Italian men to put it in their mouths and swallow. Really surprised because they were there attending from a Catholic High School.

Our parish still uses a paten. We have option of receiving by hand or on tongue.
