I ask that question because of a personal curiosity for me.
When I lapsed at a younger age, I knew full well of the Real Presence
I was walking away from but it did not matter.
But I did not deny it, ever.
The relevance became unimportant to me-
and to this day I dont know why.
Bored, maybe.
It took a while to get back on track-
a lot of pages of CS Lewis and some Chesterton... and JP2...
but I still remember the wake up call-
when I knew I was lost- at a Evangelical service
when the a tray of saltine crackers was passed around. Oy Vey.
Regrets... I had a few.
Sometimes you don't know what you've lost until you find it again.

I dont think I'm alone in this.
I think many people who leave the Church, don't reject the Real Presence-
they just talk themselves out of what it should really mean to them,
So I ask.

You benefitted from an excellent theological education.
I can see how difficult that time in your life must have been for you.
Though the world of a slightly more uptempo musically- interesting environment had to assist in a new Faith journey!

And though I will catch a TLM Mass when I can- usually traveling-
the silliness or the SJW wokeability of some Parish Masses I might occasionally run into,
Hold absolutely no bearing on me
As I am focused on Gospel and Christ in the Eucharist. That's the importance of the Mass after all.
