But the sheer kindliness and friendship in St. Peter's face in Strozzi's depiction just warms my heart. Mine, too. And I liked the way Strozzi showed Peter's holding the cripple's arm. Now that Peter was indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and surely mindful of his own recent failures, Peter is growing into the sensitive soul who later could write, "do this with gentleness and respect."
