My favorite today has to be Gustave Dore’ at #29. In the middle of the agitated crowd, Jesus calmly walks in his resplendent Light toward his Passion.

Although I have many images of the three crosses, the only one I recall that specifically references the penitent thief doesn’t actually show him; rather, it shows only Jesus, turned toward him to converse.
