LOL
we had good church today
I can picture you taking a cat to church. I wouldn’t mind baptizing a few—by the way, I’m a dunker, not a dribbler.
dunker here too
but would not consider baptizing a cat
(yes, I live with heathen cats)
our church needs a cat....but, alas, we have to leave our cats at home
Every year, on Jan. 17th, there is the blessings of animals in a church in Rome. I went to one with my sister and her dog. The church was full with dogs, cats, birds in cages, etc. Not a sound came from the animals, they seemed to be aware of the solemnly of the moment. Each animal was brought to the altar and the priest blessed them. I think St. Francis would have approved!
Solemnity...sorry for the mistake.
Wow
I have been to a blessing of the bikes (Harleys) but not a blessing of the animals
It celebrates the bond humans have with their pets. I believe it originated from a Catholic tradition.
When I baptize cats, I hold them under until they stop thrashing, to be sure they get the full effect.
then tis best to leave the cats as heathens
But #17 has Dan Bongino in it!
LOL! You bad!
The second day I knew my future wife, I asserted loudly that all cats should be put in gunny sacks, taken out past the three-mile limit, and dumped.
I did not yet know that she owned FIVE cats.
She ended up with a husband, children, dog, and ZERO cats.
