I’ve become quite a fan of Tanner, because of beauties like this.
Hope you’re recovering. I’m sure Tippy is nursing you.

I like #1, #7, #25.
What ‘s with the cats in #4? I love cats, but I just don’t picture them here.
There is so much happening in this scenes that several A-listers did several versions in this list (El Greco, Botticelli)

I love cats, but I just don’t picture them here. I hate cats, and I don't picture them anywhere--so I'm the wrong one to ask.
When I can, I group multiple works by the same artist, for sake of comparison. The most I recall seeing is four of a single scene by one artist.

In Medieval and Renaissance sacred art, cats were often used to symbolize sin and betrayal. Dogs, contrariwise, symbolized loyalty.
I don’t believe that’s the case here: Mary is holding a cat. It just doesn’t make sense, and it’s a modern painting anyway.
I think the artist just likes cats.

#23 is cool...the artist makes it obvious with the black background (can't miss this!)
#26 reminded me of

#23: I’m not enthusiastic about including images showing God the Father, but I do as long as they’re few in number.
#26: Now that you mention it, I can see the similarity.

Good Day Dan, thank you for very enjoyable artworks. Many favorites here; greatly love # 27 with Stom’s use of light.
Yes, agree with your postings by same artist; often the difference among them is surprising.

Stom just loves candle-lit scenes—I’ve seen several by him.
Am praying for your safety from the storm.

Thank you for your kindness Dan.
Central east coast wasn’t seriously injured, but the SW coast took a pounding. Now inland heading north will suffer as well.
