Mordecai was another who ‘came twice’; a type and shadow of Jesus Christ. First, as a help to his people, then, as good as dead. But his faithfulness the king was rewarded with being appointed second to the the king himself.
Very similar to Joseph being second to Pharaoh, when his brothers saw him again.
Thanks. I consider the comparison to Joseph to be apt. Both were promoted maximally because of their invaluable service to the king, as was Daniel.
We, too, have a king to serve.
