The Garden Tomb area is an oasis in the bustle of Jerusalem except there is a bus station next to it and the muslims like to rev the buses engines to disturb the peace there. The alternative site is of course covered by what many consider the holiest church in all of Christendom, The Church of the Holy Sepulchre. That church is a hodge lodge of varying faiths but mostly eastern orthodox. The general consensus is it is the more likely site of not only the crucifixion but also the tomb. Nevertheless I like the garden tomb site better. The photo makes the area seem more barren than it is now. The garden area is quite lush and peaceful.
Well, regardless of how lovely it might be, I notice Jesus didn’t hang around for very long.
