Here is another Artist I love Frederick Leighton.

So, Parrish focused on TREES, while Rockwell focused on PEOPLE.

Maybe God arranged it so that He was the only baby to be born on that particular day, so He was the only baby to be presented that day!.............

James Tissot really went all out on a 4th of July theme. The colors and patterns jumped right out as I was scrolling through the images.

I'll go with 'feels'...he's handing the babe back to Mary.

Way way WAY OT - I was at a place showing the Dodger/Padre game last eve, and Dodger pitcher #85 has the exact shade of red hair I had. (come to think about it, he has it in the same amount I had! *chuckles*)

Another point - maybe by painting it that way, ambiguously, the artist, in a masterfully subtle and subliminal way, initiated that 'flowing' movement - in the very center/focal point.
