Nothing to do with an audience. The discussion should be for all to see. Unless you have something to hide. And based on your arguments thus far I can see why youd want to hide them.
Hey look whos here: OMCET. Getting lonely on your two post caucus threads?
Actually (blasphemously) as commanded:
The supreme power of the priestly office is the power of consecrating...Indeed, it is equal to that of Jesus Christ...When the priest pronounces the tremendous words of consecration, he reaches up into the heavens, brings Christ down from His throne, and places Him upon our altar to be offered up again as the Victim for the sins of man...Indeed it is greater even than the power of the Virgin Mary [who is said to be all but almighty herself]...The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows his head in humble obedience to the priest's command...No wonder that the name which spiritual writers are especially fond of applying to the priest is that of alter Christus. For the priest is and should be another Christ. (John A. O'Brien, Ph.D., LL.D., The Faith of Millions, 255-256, O'Brien. Nihtt obstat: Rev. Lawrence Gollner, Censor Librorum Imprimatur: Leo A. Pursley, Bishop of Fort Wayne,-South Bend, March 16, 1974;
the blasphemy is stunning. And note that it is clearly stated that in the mass Christ is sacrificed again and again for sin in direct contradiction. to Scripture that states He suffered ONCE and the. took His place at the right hand of God. This loaded little passage also gets in some Marian blasphemy - Mary is all but almighty. Wow
Well, since the premise for this dogma is that it was always believed from the beginning, then it is fitting that this premise be substantiated, which it cannot be (she just "forgot" it for a few centuries). However, the pope can autocratically declare that it was anyway. And in RC theology the protection from error that makes a declaration "infallible" only pertains to the declaration and not to arguments for it.
Which is how some Catholics basically argue, and it should be be understood that while Catholics will attempt to use Scripture to support distinctive Catholic teachings that are not manifest therein, yet for a faithful RC, the real basis for the veracity of RC doctrine is the premise of ensured magisterial infallibility. For Rome has presumed to infallibly declare she is and will be perpetually infallible whenever she speaks in accordance with her defined (scope and subject-based) formula, which renders her declaration that she is infallible, to be infallible, as well as all else she accordingly declares.
The blasphemy knows no end.
Mary wins the prize for being the most abused figure in RC mythology. They must hate her even more than the reviled Luther to tell so many lies a out her and grant her so many false and blasphemous titles and powers What did this poor humble woman do to get such abuse?
Sadly, many RCs have fallen for these deceptions.
Seems to me that if Mary had so much power as the Catholic Church claims, there would have been no reason for the early believers to sit around pray ALONG WITH her. Instead they would have be praying TO her.
But, then again, the Catholic Church ignores the scriptural teachings of the half-brothers of Jesus as well.
That should have been ealgeone-not EagleOne. My apologies EagleOne.

Do you really believe that Catholics don’t believe Mary prays? Seriously: Why would you write something so nonsensical? The intercessory part of the Hail Mary — the ONLY part that is not an exact quote from the bible — is “pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.”
>> But, then again, the Catholic Church ignores the scriptural teachings of the half-brothers of Jesus as well. <<
Oh, the irony! While I would NOT call it heretical to believe Joseph had other sons (indeed, many Orthodox churches hold this position), this position is irreconcilable with the identities spelled out in the bible. James, Joseph, Simon and Jude are the sons of Zebedee of Alphaeus and of Mary of Cleophas (which possibly refers to the same city as Alphaeus).
Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56"And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?" Matthew 13:55-56 NASB
There is a religion that lives in constant fear of not going to their heaven.
I’d add the RCC to that list.
Religion is man centered. Too many lean on their own understanding and/or tradition. I also tend to lean too much on my own understanding but the Holy Spirit consistently corrects me and nudges or hammers me toward the target.
In about 367 AD, St. Athanasius came up with a list of 73 books for the Bible that he believed to be divinely inspired. This list was finally approved by Pope Damasus I in 382 AD, and was formally approved by the Church Council of Rome in that same year. Later Councils at Hippo (393 AD) and Carthage (397 AD) ratified this list of 73 books. In 405 AD, Pope Innocent I wrote a letter to the Bishop of Toulouse reaffirming this canon of 73 books. In 419 AD, the Council of Carthage reaffirmed this list, which Pope Boniface agreed to. The Council of Trent, in 1546, in response to the Reformation removing 7 books from the canon (canon is a Greek word meaning standard), reaffirmed the original St. Athanasius list of 73 books
You do not know your own history and tradition. The early church RECEIVED IT. They would take NO CREDIT for the Bible. WHO DID THEY RECEIVE IT FROM?
In about 367 AD, St. Athanasius came up with a list of 73 books for the Bible that he believed to be divinely inspired. ................
Joh 6:31 After all, our ancestors ate manna while they journeyed through the wilderness! The Scriptures say, ‘Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
Joh 6:32 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven..........................
Read the above SLOWLY and let your LIPS MOVE. Do you see any connection? You think your church leaders gave you the Bible?
The Pharisee were wrong in their tradition. That is the DANGER of tradition, it morphs to mans ideas.
Now go read about Moses and manna. He was surprised by the manna as much as anyone. He had NOTHING to do with the manna.
The early church leaders had NOTHING to do with the BIBLE! They received it.
Asking you again....you sure you want to stand by this statement?
James, Joseph, Simon, and Jude are not listed as the sons of Zebedee. They are listed as the sons of Mary. Otherwise why wouldn't John be listed as well, who was a son of Zebedee. And only James and John are listed as the sons of Zebedee, who their mother asked Christ to let the sit one on the left and one on the right. (Only two.) Nice try however.
