You are partially correct. Many apostate Protestant Churches have embraced homosexuality, removing their lamp stand as a church. That is why most true Christians today are non-denominational or Baptist. Question: if the Roman Church rejects homosexuality, why is there a homosexual lobby in the church with the Pope supporting it?

“I am not Catholic, but I was wondering how this guy still functions as a priest. “

I was wondering about that also.

This is from their web site.

The Jesuits
“We are the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic order of priests and brothers founded half a millennium ago by the soldier-turned-mystic Ignatius Loyola.”

“I n the vision of our founder, we seek to “find God in all things.” We dedicate ourselves to the “greater glory of God” and the good of all humanity.”

” With our friends and partners, we also reach out to a broadly diverse world because that’s where God is. From experience and reflection, we know that meaning, value, and divine purpose can be discovered “in all things.””

This is, I think, the endgame for the homosexualization of the RCC.

They are going to “reveal” that Jesus and the disciples were gay.

Been that way for a long time, based on its history.

~54% of those Cardinals who are qualified to vote for the next Pope (i.e. Cardinals less than 80 years old) were appointed by Francis. The control of the Church has been taken over by those who likely share the views of Francis. The Church will go through some major changes before righting itself, and it may take a century or more.

In my opinion, the laity need to take control of the Church.

I don’t judge people for their sexual preferences. There are probably many reasons beyond the control of any individual for why people have same sex attraction. I’m sure for most it’s a very difficult discovery and a very difficult life. That said, to glorify it, and try to portray it as the ‘holy norm’ is ridiculous. We should forgive all, and be good to all, but that doesn’t mean we should rewrite what we perceive as normal is. None of us are entirely ‘normal’, just as none of us are without sin. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t aspire to be ‘normal’ - in it’s best sense, just as we should aspire to avoid sin.

One of the most sacred and fundamental duties of the Church is the preservation of innocence. When Francis chastises those who want to rid the Church of pedophiles, when he chastises those who feel that homosexual sex is no different than heterosexual sex when it comes to vows of chastity, when he fails to make protection of children his absolute number one responsibility under God, he is failing to be truly Christian. In my humble opinion.

There are those who feel that everything can be intellectualized. It’s not much different than those who tried to reach heaven with the Tower of Babel (whether apocryphal or not - the concept of human endeavor over faith, and human intellect over God is very, very relevant). To them I would say that to think that their ~3 pound brain can explain all, is beyond ridiculous and beyond hubris.

This concept of intellectualization has gone way too far in the Jesuit wing of the Catholic Church. Francis epitomizes this.

Why did Jesus chose Judas Iscariot as one of His apostles?

Why did St. Peter deny Christ three times in one night?

A non-answer is an answer. The Roman Church has become infested with homosexuals and pedophiles. Christians must come out of this cursed institution.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

So priests who have a Mass in Latin are frowned upon by the establishment but this blasphemous “priest” can do whatever he wants.

The apostates are the Church. They run it, starting with the apostate Vicar of Christ (Pope Francis)

Bergoglio and James Martin, however, are apostates.

You are a sedevacantist, then?

Yes, that last line can open Pandora’s Box. There are things that can be learned from the world. There is a case to be made that the Church is open to all who are seeking forgiveness through Jesus Christ. All. That doesn’t mean that you embrace and celebrate sin, undermine Christian moral teachings, and blaspheme God along with that. Knowing what homosexuals do and then claiming the Trinity indulges in that is one of the more revolting things I’ve come across.

The apostates are not the church. I rather think you're aware that apo-state means stand-out-side-of.

The Church is the Body of Christ, not the Body of Bergoglio.

It's not that I don't see the present problem. And it's a huge one. It may be the hugest problem in the Church in the lat 1,000 years.I was at a small prayer group tonight with a small group of my neophytes, and all we could come up was this saying by Jesus about possession by a demon: "This kind does not depart except with prayer and fasting."

I am not Catholic, but I was wondering how this guy still functions as a priest. Looks like the powers that be are with him.

a. excommunication--the action of officially excluding someone from participation in the sacraments and services of the Christian Church.
b. lost privileges of the priesthood
c. landed in jail if he raped a boy
d. all of the above.

I'm no expert, though. There may be more punishments.

Nowadays men who want to become priests have to undergo some kind of mental/psychiatric evaluation.
The same goes for those who want to be police officers in a large city. This I know from my own experience.

Joe Biden was DENIED Holy Communion in his church in South Carolina...because of his stance on abortion. THAT was huge.

Jesus Christ is the head of the Catholic Church, His only Church. And Judas Iscariot was in good standing at the Last Supper.

Now if you prefer Martin Luther's church, or Henry VIII's church or John Calvin's church or John Knox's church, or John Smyth's or John Wesley's churches, go for it, Mom.

I choose to belong the One Church founded by the Son of God.

There has always been a part of Christianity that portrays Jesus ad a friend of the poor, imprisoned, down trodden etc. Partially that is fair as they seemed to be the ones that most welcomed his message. When people though take on their own ideas of victimhood and reimagine themselves in that image they are not siding with Christ and welcoming him in. They are using him as a tool to reimagine sin as righteousness
