Does the RCC believe it is Israel? It’s the only thing I can figure out, they must believe they are the Kingdom Jews of the dispensation of the Law, Not the Body of Christ of this dispensation of Grace. Which is probably why Paul seems to get so little time or respect. ESPECIALLY since he is the Apostle to the GENTILES.

Any religeon that gets their “word” or “truth” from a man, is in err.

Seeing comments on this thread, ....strange... their beliefs, which are added to, subtracted from, changed, ..from what the bible says. How do they rationalize.... the bible says not to add to nor subtract from the Word of God.

I shall refrain from saying what I think...

Uh....no.

Actually, yes. From the 3rd ecumenical council in 431:

the holy Virgin, the Mother of God

or this reason we also call her Mother of God,

therefore the Holy Virgin is the Mother of God

Mary who bare such an one is Mother of God

be derived from Mary the Mother of God

There are others, but I think that's enough to make the point.

He sounds like a very bright person from your description.

As pointed out previously, the word in Greek is theotokos, or God-bearer. Mother of God is a weak translation.

That’s one council.

It would never be accepted in an academic paper.

That’s one council.

LOL. Yes, that's one, which proves the point from my previous post:

"Mother of God" was commonly used before the 4th council and is referenced in previous council records.

Of course it wouldn't. He wasn't writing a paper to be published for academia. Trust me, as he has a phd, he knows what it takes to publish a paper.

When I finish this project for work, I'll give more on this.

Suffice to say your post does not prove your point.

Both characterizations are based upon no Scripture and are the fantasies of men empowering an Org.

Minor corrections:

Both characterizations are based upon no Scripture and are the fantasies the Holy Ghost of men empowering an Org the One, Holy Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

Sola Scriptura is not in scripture.

Sola Scriptura is not in scripture.

Dude....really?

This is the best you've got? A refuted error.

That idol of a scapular is for sure not in Scripture.

Head on back to your Roman Catholic pope bashing threads where maybe two people post.

Catholics don’t worship idols; but protestants reject sacramentals and sacraments.

It was you who said the Holy Trinity is not in scripture, yet you claim to believe in It.

Sounds like a hypocrite.

That thing around your neck is indeed an idol. You continue to try and call it a sacramental to justify your idolatry.

Your eternal security would be insured IF you were to trust in Christ and Christ alone for your salvation and NOT the false promise of an apparition.

Why should I listen to you?

Evertime, you mention my scapular, I smile and thank the Blessed Mother for Her protection of me from all heretics.

You give me great comfort.

Thanks

Dude....just. Stop. Your embarrassing yourself again.

You're starting to try and argue like your buddy vlad….and just as ineffectively I might add...except he does it better than you.

Show me the term Trinity in the NT.
