Let’s look at Romans, chapter 13 . . .
Romans 13, we have all seen this at one time or another . . . it’s a horrible time. Verse 11, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep . . .”.
Those two words, ‘high time,’ have you ever used that? Has your husband ever said, ‘I’m going to fix that leaky faucet today,’ and you said, ‘It’s about high time you did!’
Quoting again from Time magazine, February 22, 1988 – this must have been a real scriptural edition.
Alex, again from the Rand Corporation, says this about the Soviets – about the Afghanistan administration: “It is high time to for the administration to realize that the only way to stop the bloodshed in Afghanistan is an unconditional Soviet withdrawal.”
Now isn’t that funny that that fellow would say that? Do you think that he had going through his mind when he wrote this was Romans 13, verse 11? I bet if you asked him if he knew what Romans 13 says, he would say, ‘What’s Romans?’ ‘You know, Romans – that’s a book in the Bible.’ ’Oh, is that ‘Jesus wept?’ ‘No, that’s where it says what you said in Time magazine on February 22, 1988.’
“It’s high time for the Russians to get out of Afghanistan . . . because they are at their wit’s end.”
This guy’s a real Bible scholar, did you know that? His name is Alex Alexov.
Now here’s a fact – God wrote this Book...
The bible never claims to be “the” word of God. It claims to be the words of men inspired by God. It does CONTAIN the word of God. Much of it can be spotted by the color of the text (red).
