That was God 1.0.
Jesus brought the kinder, gentler, God 2.0.
The thief on the cross beside Jesus was forgiven.
And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. (I Corinthians 2:13,14)
> I pray your eyes are opened and God gives you a heart of flesh instead of stone.
Verbal prayer to an idol makes one liable for a capital sin.
> I don’t think so. Why would he require Jews to have a blood sacrifice Temple system for sin and you get off with sincerity?
The Torah Law for Jews is more restrictive than the Torah Law for Gentiles.
I don't pray to an idol. I pray directly to my heavenly Father and He hears me. Besides, ALL sin is capital/mortal/subject to death. That's why we have a Kinsman Redeemer in Yeshua HaMashiach - He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. His shed blood made atonement for sin.
Why are you ignoring the questions you have been asked about blood sacrifices for sin?
> Why are you ignoring the questions you have been asked about blood sacrifices for sin?
I answered the question.
The thief on the cross beside Jesus was forgiven.
Based on Christs sacrifice, received through faith.
.. and yet the Scriptures are not.
I disagree bro. They may have all heard it, but I believe the majority rejected it. Thats why they wandered in the desert for 40 years. Many of them honor God with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him.
Here is something Paul wrote, you know that former Pharisee that you hate. He said in Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Are you going to be so bold, as to try tell me that I AM (Jesus) is going to let you into Heaven, when even the right things you do, are filth? Are you kidding me? It aint gonna happen.
If you say all these Pharisees, many modern day Jews are your teachers and your friends, these are the one I AM (Jesus) was totally angry with. I dont want I AM (Jesus) angry with me. If you do, thats on you. Maybe you need new friends.
As previously mentioned, you will probably reject I AM (Jesus) and that is your privilege. By the power invested in me, as a servant of the Most High God, I say, remember the men of Ninevah. Remember the Queen of Sheba.
Here is I AM (Jesus) speaking again. Revelation 20:11-15. 11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Its not a pretty picture, but its what awaits those, whose names are not found in the Book of Life. Is your name written in the Lambs book of life?
> He said in Romans 2:29.
Romans 2:29 is not the Five Books of Moses.
> Isaiah 64:6.
Isaiah 64:6 is not the Five Books of Moses.
> Revelation 20:11-15.
Revelation 20:11-15 is not the Five Books of Moses.
THIS answer, you mean? The Torah Law for Jews is more restrictive than the Torah Law for Gentiles.
We aren't talking about the Law of Moses versus the so-called Noahide laws, it has to do with God's requirement for atoning for sins. Why did God have Noah keep seven pairs of every kind of clean animals and birds on the ark? We read in Genesis 8:
So long before Moses, God has instituted the blood sacrifice for the atonement of sins. Even before that, when He expelled Adam and Eve from the garden, God had used the skins of animals for their covering and there was death on account of sin. The blood sacrifice was part of a covenant between God and mankind and it was to remind all of the seriousness of sinning against God and His provision of a way of appeasing His holy righteousness and justice. Gentiles don't get out of that. You said you are a scholar of the Torah, so you should know this.
Just telling God you're sorry for doing wrong and trying to be a better person is insufficient. Sin requires punishment, it needs atonement. I showed you that passage from Leviticus 17 where God commands both the Israelites as well as those Gentiles among them to observe the blood sacrifice:
You have NO atonement for your sins if you don't have a blood sacrifice. Christians know that Jesus Christ made propitiation for our sins by his once-for-all sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection was proof that He was the true Messiah and atonement had been made. He is our place of cleansing. Because you have rejected Him, you have none. Your sins are still with you and you will die in them unredeemed. Don't let that happen. God has made provision and offers redemption to you by His grace through faith. I pray you come to understand this truth.
> .. and yet the Scriptures are not.
Moses received the entire Torah from G-d, both the Written Torah (the Five Books of Moses) and the Oral Torah. The Oral Torah is the explanation of all the commandments, which are very concisely recorded in those Five Books.
Thass right. God 2.0
.
Nonsense!
In Joel chapter two we are informed that only those that call out his name can be saved.
.
.
More childish misdirection.
Why would you wish to divert people from knowing the path to Yehova’s righteousness?
Most devious and capricious, much like “Allah.”
.
> Sin requires punishment, it needs atonement.
G-d is merciful and constantly anticipates that those who want to return to Him will repent and correct their ways. When they do, G-d forgives them for their sins and does not punish them for the past.
.
We as in all of the body of Yeshua.
.
.
I don’t bother with Westcott/Hort corruptions; I prefer a translation done by belivers, rather than Hort’s “Ghostly Guild.”
.
> Since it appears you are not paying attention, there really isnt any reason to discuss ANYTHING with you. Have a nice eternity dude.
