You just implied that you hate someone who Jesus died for.

Jesus said that’s as bad as murder.

Repeated murder with every thread.

Better get to a confessional.

You just implied that you hate someone who Jesus died for.

I said no such thing.

I said I don't love Luther for his revolution against God's Church.

Stop making stuff up.

You’re commanded to love your neighbor and your enemy.

That’s still a violation of what Jesus said.

You’re sure not acting like you love anyone on this thread.

Millions of Christians around the world would disagree with that. But if Luther was not a movement of God you should be able to defeat it easily. I’ll wait...

Thank God He uses flawed vessels.

David. Imperfect behavior, repentant perfect heart toward Jehovah. Finished well.

Solomon, not so much, though wisely recorded his own foolish end.

Appreciated your replies, Mom.

then post them here as if they could possibly convince even one Christian to give up their assurance of salvation - given by God - for an accursed gospel of a religion that never could. Pray for their bitter, angry hearts to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Oh oh BB. You done did it now. You done torqued someone’s jaws. I know you, and I, and a host of other TRUE Christians, have assurance of salvation. There are others who don’t have any assurance of salvation at all, and not only don’t think anyone else can have assurance of salvation, but don’t want anyone else to have any assurance. I agree. Pray for their bitter, angry hearts to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

By the way, I am not sitting in the Manila International terminal anymore. 😀🇵🇭😁

To: Just mythoughts

There’s one in particular who is trying to get the current pope out of office.

Dr. Guilday, former history professor at the Catholic University, summed up the work of Luther’s life this way: “The cleavage of Luther from the Catholic Church was not caused by opposition to the Papacy, but by the false idea, which seems to have haunted him unto obsession – his total impotency under temptation. It was this negation of the moral value of human action – this denial of man’s ability to overcome sin – which led to his famous doctrine of the worthlessness of good works. The only hope he had was a blind reliance on God, whose Son, Jesus Christ, had thrown around him the cloak of his own merits. From this starting point it was facilis descensus Averni. Opposition to all good works, and particularly to Monastic regulations and to Indulgences, led to opposition to authority – Episcopal and Papal.”

IOW, Luther believed what God proved - no man could ever be worthy through his own efforts so Jesus had to die for our sins if we were to be saved.

Even Paul, who had met the risen Jesus lamented that he kept doing things he knew he shouldn't and then not doing things he thought he should.

I posit that we are so weak and venal that if we were honest we would realize that we cannot even truly fully desire to do God's Will 100%. Disparaging Luther is like saying God screwed up and Jesus didn't have to die because, unlike the "stiff-necked" ones who demanded the Commandments, he realized that the lesson God taught us was correct - are souls are at His mercy because we cannot raise them right....

All we can reliably do is to recognize that we remain sinful even though He has decided to not recognize us by our sins once we have been saved...Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Or “delay” coming back to “test” the Church to see how “faithful” the Church is.
