Here's the sole occurrence in the NT of the word in question:
Luke 1:48 V-FIA-3P GRK: τοῦ νῦν μακαριοῦσίν με πᾶσαι
NAS: generations will count me blessed.

I've on rare occasions seen "blessed" used as a noun, but I don't use it that way. I use it as an adjective. As in, for instance, "Blessed Assurance".<
>> Ealgeone: "The Roman Catholic lack of understanding of basic grammar is appalling at times."<<
This kind of --- sigh ---- wacky generalization tells us more about you than it tells us about Catholics.
Allow me to be clearer then....the Roman Catholic mis-use of the text in attributing a title to Mary not found in the text is appalling at times.
To: Fantasywriter
Correction....sole use of the verb in that form.
The verb is found twice in the NT.
I certainly hope you're not trying to invent another Roman Catholic claim a word was made up to describe Mary.
To: ealgeone
It was an attempt to point out that a verb is not an adjective. I was also trying to be discreet, fwiw.

That’s very gracious, but it was a minor point at best.
Blessings.

Because we all believe in what the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church teaches.

"Because we all believe in what the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church teaches." I've never seen a single survey that supports that wild claim 😂😂😂
To: aMorePerfectUnion
Who cares about surveys, when every practicing Catholic recites the Nicene Creed at Sunday Mass?
Are you familiar with that creed?

Oh, I see. You moved the goalposts by attempting to redefine a subset of Catholics and shift ground from knowing hearts to repeating words.
No sale.
What actual proof do you have of *knowing* hearts of those who bow before idols of Mary?
To: aMorePerfectUnion
Nobody “knows hearts”, except for God. So your questions, and demands for answers, are both juvenile are ludicrous.

You have NO IDEA whether someone is worshipping Mary or not.
Thank you!

Thanks for revealing your hypocrisy!

The difference is that unlike you, I never claimed to know.
Dude, you were checkmated.
Don’t waste time unless you can prove your wild claim with evidence.
To: aMorePerfectUnion
I never claimed to know.Yes, you did. You claimed:

Game on.

You do realize that is a *question* and not a claim??
Your posts seem confused. Perhaps you should get some rest now FRamigo.
To: aMorePerfectUnion
Stating that Catholics worship idols is a only a claim on your part. Not fact. And not a question.
