Yeah, and those bones were in a grave and stayed in the grave.
Omnipresent Mary, Lord’s supper for eternal life (but apparently doesn’t work for very long since it must be consumed regularly), praying toward images that are just artists renderings.
I’ll be back, dessert is on the table.
Well, that is not what Scripture says.
But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1Tim 3:15
God bless in your journey to the truth, found in the Church. Now you have to ask, "Which Church?" Start with the one Christ founded.
Well, by your imagination, who was the first Catholic, as in member of the Org (rhymes with Borg)?
PFFFFFT.
THAT’S your argument?
That just got debunked a few days ago in the LAST thread!
Sorry, no dice.
In fact, there is significant evidence that the Roman Catholic ‘church’ has had its lampstand taken away because of its blatant contradiction of the Word of God. Jesus has said that he would remove the lampstand of churches that abandoned the faith.
I can make a case that Rome has lost its lampstand and has therefore forfeited all right to be called a church.
Shall we talk about that?
Agree, totally. Thanks...
Catholics need to remember it is not the pomp and circumstance of ritual or relics that is important,
What’s important is their one-on-one relationship with the Messiah who wants us to talk to Him the same way Adam walked and talked to Him in the Garden...(before the Fall, o’course)
When you study the real Word of God, you do not need to be an expert on every forgery to know it is false and pagan.
Maybe you will begin to appoint Cardinals.
If so, I'd like to purchase a position of high esteem, as was common in Romanism.
That passage isn't even about salvation.
That is a non-sequitur and an obfuscation. But Scripture does give us a clue:
Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:17-18
Since Scripture says Christ built His Church on Peter, I'd guess Peter was the first catholic.
And interesting that Sola Scriptura is never mentioned in Scripture, but was 'revealed' by flesh and blood, ie, Martin Luther - 1500 years removed from Christ.
You refuted nothing I said. Please refute what I said using Scripture.

That settles it. Omnipresent Mary is for real.
Heh heh heh.
Okay. You asked for this.
Ephesians 2: 8-9.
All of Galatians 3.
John 6: 25-29.
All of Romans 3
You Catholics teach and preach in blatant contradiction to the VERY WORDS of the Apostle Paul AND Jesus himself.
This isn’t even like your fatuous argument about what James wrote. (FYI: James specified the definition of ‘faith’ that he was using, and it’s not the same as Paul’s definition of ‘faith.’ So don’t even try.) These are four passages that the very foundation of faith is upon.
Therefore, your church is a fallen church.
A fake.
A lie.
Jesus has removed your lampstand. The ‘Church that Jesus founded’ is no longer a church and has NO salvation in its official teachings.
Finally something I can agree with you on.
“This isnt even like your fatuous argument about ...”
You misspelled “flatulent.”
Signed,
A Good Samaritan
*Snicker*
I stand corrected.
Matthew was written in Greek. How do you explain that The Greek word for Peter is petros, which means “a pebble” or a small stone. On the other hand, the Greek word that Jesus used for rock is petra, meaning “a massive rock” or bedrock.
If so, I'd like to purchase a position of high esteem, as was common in Romanism.
I can do that, but I only take cash. 🙃 As far as seats at the great white throne judgement go, I can't sell you one of those, but I would if I could. 😊
2004...more like 13 YEAR-old Red Herrings! ;o)
yeah...we’re used to it. I think there are a few who think they get some special indulgence if they post this kind of stuff. A lot of it is just repeat. Maybe reply with a counter and then let it ride...at least someone who reads it will know not everyone thinks the same things. Cheers!
They’re gullible??? ;o)
