Most of these arguments do not take into account the differences in alphabets and actual pronunciations.
For example, an ‘ah’ sound in English may be the letter aleph in Hebrew, or it may be how the placeholder vav is approximately pronounced in the context of a Hebrew word.
Depending on the letters and their native pronunciation, words that look similar when transliterated can have very different meanings.
Arabic and Hebrew are from the same language family. Think of French and Spanish and Italian from the Romance language family. Words can be kind of similar, but be very different in spelling and exact meaning.
I would never try to convince you that he doesn’t because I believe he does .
After all we call Jesus Jesus an English transliteration from the greek when his real name is Yeshua .
He still knows us if we love and follow him and trust only in him to clean us up .
But the allah of the muslims happens to be a differnt god and their Issa (jesus) is also a different from the Jesus of the bible . Their issa is a muslim that did not die on the cross for your sins and he is not the Son of God.
The illah of the muslim which they call allah (the god) is no God but a demon and muslim Iman’s have no business preaching a sermon or leading a prayer to a demon in a Christian church, it is confusion and an abomination.
This was the explanation I was looking for when I consulted the “experts” in this thread. Thank you.
No. They may be a mainline domination, but they are not a mainline Christian Domination. Though it may appear insignificent, there is a difference between the two. Like where the members of each will spend eternity.
Below is a link to the explanation I was looking for. It is more intelligible than rattling on about alphabets and unrelated linguistic minutiae.

Thank you, Campion.
That doesn't make sense to me...Just don't show up...That means you left...Find a vacant building...Pick a name for your group if you so desire and you're back to worshiping Jesus...
It's just a building...Means nothing to God...If you want a building to worship God in, he'll provide one...Just make sure you don't take the name of that ungodly religion you are leaving...
But trying to attach a meaning to an Arabic word based on a similar sounding word in Hebrew is nonsense.
Let me give you a similar example, from two other related languages. You know what a "gift" is in English, right? German is rather closely related to English. In German, the word "Gift" (pronounced almost exactly like the English word) means "poison". Don't accept gifts, Lera! They're really poison!
BTW, God's name is actually not "God," either.
