I don't believe he believes this traditional dogma for a second. After reading through his comments he sounds more Protestant than Catholic...again. Yes, Jesus is the Way....through His Church, the Catholic Church, but he never takes the opportunity to teach Catholic dogma: that Outside the Catholic Church there is No Salvation.
Of course, he believes in the heresy that is enshrined in Vatican II (See tagline) so this makes absolute sense.
Don't be fooled!

How long did it take for the media to report it? Would anybody have posted it to the FR Religion Form if I hadn’t? Seriously.

Well good for him for saying so but how does this conform with his statements that atheists can go to heaven? This man is the most inconsistent and intellectually lazy pope in the history of the church.

No, Falconspeed has spoken.I don't see any Catholic rebuking him . . . do you?
Catholics are always posting blasphemous garbage like this attacking the veracity of the Bible, and the only sound from their "traditionalist" co-religionists is crickets.
How a Catholic who believes in total Biblical inerrancy on all subjects can even feel a kinship with such people is beyond me, but they're all members of the family in good standing. I'd smell brimstone on them, myself.

Why do you even speak of the “Bible” when you deny half of it?

Why do you even speak of the Bible when you deny half of it?There was already a Bible. No one was ever authorized to add to it.
Since you absolutely refuse to deal with the fact that unlike me, your religion accepts Biblical books which it then declares are full of errors and mistakes, there is obviously no further need in trying to discuss this with you.

Do you have any idea how often I would have to post if I had to “correct” the post Vatican II Catholics’ understanding of the Traditional Catholic Faith on this board?
Francis already lends to too much posting.

Once again, you are deliberately bearing false witness against me. But I guess that's OK in your phony religion.

I don’t think he was necessarily bearing false witness against you per se, but he was definitely making a false statement about our religion.

The seven Noahide laws as traditionally enumerated are:
1. Do not deny God.
2. Do not blaspheme God.
3. Do not murder.
4. Do not engage in illicit sexual relations.
5. Do not steal.
6. Do not eat of a live animal.
7. Establish courts/legal system to ensure obedience to the law.
See? No law against bearing false witness.

My impression is that Pope Francis was saying that atheists can accept Christ and go to heaven, definitely not that they can reject Christ and go to heaven.
But I say ,”my impression,” because of the ever-salient Bergoglio Uncertainty Principle. I’m still not sure whether he is a Master of Ambiguity, or its victim.

If he’s serious he would renounce any and all catholic writings that attribute any and all aspects of salvation associated with Mary.

The Noah story lacked unicorns as well as star fish, dolphins and kangaroos, because the Noah story is interpreted analogously. Are you saying the Flood as recorded in Genesis did not happen?
