Nor do you know where Mary is. Who cares?
She did what God called her to do--no she did NOT say "yes" which is posted a lot--she saw herself as a simple handmaiden of the Lord.
Now the Catholic version has been made into a spirit who does the job only God can do.
She must be turning over in her grave...which no one knows where it is so her bones cannot be stolen and venerated.
God is so good.
Going back to the comment to which your reply was addressed, I saw where he made some mention of there being distinction between spirit, and soul.
Many theologians have done as much, including Paul.
Where people go speculating about things from there on, can be another story.
I did not see in the comment to which you provided reply, anyone saying quote-unquote that a "spirit returned to heaven and the soul went to hell", nor was any such concept contemplated, as a far as I could tell from briefly scanning through what was written there.
I don't think I want to even know where you may have gotten that secondary concept that you're talking about ---but after preliminary, cursory inspection which showed "Izzy" not saying anything remotely close to that ---it does sound like fabrication. Venturing a guess, I'll just go ahead and say; it probably comes from some variety of badly taken out of context "deduction" on your own part, related to something yet else which was said, verga. In other words, it appears to me that "Izzy" as you called him, is probably being badly misconstrued.
For you verga; Here is wisdom appropriate for the kind of conversational situation you pinged me to.
Go, I say go away boy, you bother me...
Where on Earth did you come up with that malarky???
Whatever, I'll stick with the church's version....chances are that I'll be O.K. with that.
Of course they subscribe to a catechism, unfortunately they all have their own....the Christian community itself declares that there are 30,000 to 40,000"denominations"....
I can look in the phone book in my little town and find 30-40 various "denominations"...worldwide, has to be a bunch.
You and I and everyone else can see that you cut my sentence in half.
That’s just so pathetic and unresponsive, it constitutes total surrender on your part.
So, thanks for giving up!
Your asinine post is hardly worth an answer....or is it you're....
They wrote it....say thanks!!
Last line post 769 direct quote cut an pasted with no changes or alterations: “Mary was not the mother of that celestial body...When Jesus’ human body died, his spirit returned to heaven and his soul went to Hell; Abraham’s Bosom... “
Prove it I can look in the phone book in my little town and find 30-40 various "denominations"...worldwide, has to be a bunch.
List them and prove they are different in their catechisms. You said it, you prove it.
You must rely on it so little that you forgot ...
Hoss

It is not only Christianity, it is the ONLY, TRUE, COMPLETE Christianity on Earth....all other so called " denominations" are just that...either incomplete or in error, or both.
Why, yes.
Not really, not so neatly
-- or else they would have come up with a term (of their own invention, such as the word theotokus was invention amid Greek language) that would translate more precisely 'Mother of God' -- provided had that been the intent. Yet obviously, it was not?
They held back from going quite that far with the phrase (on purpose) yet without that slim margin of restraint equating to denying the divinity of Christ be inseparable from His humanity -- at least while the one known as Jesus Christ walked the earth (incarnate) in form of a man.
The same can be said for an alternative "phrase", or word ---Christotokus, which by itself denotes no inaccuracy.
Christ came to this earth in the flesh, in the form of a man, born of the virgin, Mary.
Jesus's very being in this earthly, physical realm was no spectre, not even the body (body of Jesus Christ) which resurrected from the grave, but instead was nothing but the real thing, baby, nothing but the real thing...
There are red herrings, in this world
and there are red cola cans.
Decide.
Just to clarify:
The laws of logic are exactly the same, absolutely regardless of the subject matter.
IOW: The laws of logic in a syllogism about Mary and Sam are exactly the same as for a syllogism about Mary and Jesus.
Any attempt to pretend otherwise is a retreat into absolute, gibbering irrationality.
WOW, you slept through more catechism classes than even I imagined!!!
I will NEVER understand your leaving the true church, but your attempts to justify it fall far short of een common sense.....no matter how hard you try, you cannot, ever, disprove the truth....you can play with semantics, play with misinterpretations, play with just plain lack of faiith, but it all comes out the same.....the Catholic church is 2,016 years old and correct.
You sound just like Joseph Smith.
How long were you a Mormon?
Finally you awakened....whew!!!
Only if God wants it that way.....do you have a problem with that??
Which line in that diatribe would change one mind in the current discussion???
God cannot go against His Nature.
You are wrong.
