I'm tired of this same old line and I'm not buying it.
Which means he may very well have agreed with him. If he really cared about the direction Francis was going he would do something about it. I think most of the Catholic hierarchy are fine and dandy with him and/or they are weak men.
Does he have the authority to teach false ecumenism?
I don’t think that would be Benedict’s reason. He would have had to lose his mind not to realize that Francis is an idiot. I am sure he keeps silence because he feels absolutely bound by his resignation from the Papacy. He doesn’t want to suggest that the slightest “residue” of Papal authority is still attached to him.
Well then perhaps he should have fought the good fight and not resigned in the first place..you know, do what a traditional Catholic pope would have done. The reality is he was totally on board with this..either that or he was a weakling. Enough of the Benedict pining.
