I've told the class I teach exactly this. This problem is due to the church not preaching the solid Word of Truth unashamedly and not being engaged in the political discourse.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Gracious and Loving Father God....
We come together because you have asked that we do in all things which concern us...... We come because we live in such perplexing times when things are not what they seen to be and are presented as something other than what they are. ..... We come because we don’t know what to do that we aren’t already doing ....We come because you are the Great I am , the Almighty God our Savior and Confidant. for there is no other for whom we can bring all what we see happening to and in our Nation , against our and your people and our Faith.
We are all mindful of the Judgement that came today Lord, and this is no surprise to you...you knew this would be as it’s happened. Still Lord, we do not understand why those who represent us seem so powerless, and or unwilling, to do what they know they are equipped to do, why they do not use the powers you have given them. We fear most are against us and you Lord...and we grieve and are saddened immeasurabely, we believe you share this with us today.
Father God...would you consider turning the tide that is sweeping this nation by raising up the men and woman who can do so and removing those who resist ?... Will you grant the time and hour needed to accomplish this...Lord Jesus You have said that we might reason together with you..therefore here we are as the body of believers before you now,with hearts, minds and souls layed before you. May you hear and act on every request according to your perfect will.

We live in a time that we do not understand. Everything that is right and good has been turned on its head and declared evil. Everything that we know to be evil has been turned on its head and declared good.
Abba Father, we don't know why these things are happening so quickly. We place our trust in you, our Heavenly Father that you do as you've foretold of these events in your word.
We come to you in prayer, opening our hearts to you to examine our motives in coming to you. Let there be nothing unclean in our hearts and our minds. Let our prayers to you come from a pure heart as we humbly seek your guidance and wisdom on how we, your children should respond in these difficult times.
Our country is in trouble Father. Our Government, our Courts, and those elected to serve your people are all corrupt. They welcome evil while they shun good. They welcome those things that you, our Father in Heaven have defined as sinful while at the same time they belittle, harass, and persecute your children.
Father, I am afraid. I am afraid for my family, my children, my friends and indeed your church. I place my fears in your hands knowing that you have the power to turn my fears into strength and courage. I place my fears in your hands knowing that ultimately YOU my Father have a plan and as it is written in your Holy word, victory against evil is assured. The ending is already written and there is no stopping our Father in Heaven's victory.
Through my fear, I have faith that your written word is true and that gives me strength. I ask for your grace, mercy and forgiveness as I come in prayer to you and humbly ask that you turn the tide against the evil and corruption that has taken hold of this once great God fearing, God loving nation. I pray you to restore our nation's heart for YOU. I pray that you will mend hearts across this country and turn them towards You if that be your will.
Above all else, I pray that those hearts that may be seeking You for the first time as they struggle with the evil and corruption that has taken over across this country and indeed the entire world, I pray that those hearts seeking You find You! It is only by your grace, mercy and love that lost hearts find you, that broken hearts are mended, sins are forgiven, and the lost become found.
I pray that you will restore our country Father. Make it a beacon of light and hope once again in your name.
I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
