Paul did.
I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas"; still another, "I follow Christ."
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospelnot with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 1Cor 1:10-17
You could easily read the above as One of you says, "I follow Luther"; another, "I follow Calvin"; another, "I follow Wesley"; still another, "I follow Christ."
Christians cannot be perfectly united in mind and thought when they have different beliefs on, say, the necessity of water baptism, while others believe This is my Body means This is a cookie
I always thought that God is the pillar of the the Church. Was I mistaken all these years? 😀😁😂😅😄😃😆😎🇵🇭
Everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior are God’s chosen people, no matter the denomination. Isn’t that great? God is so great. We are all His children.
Jesus was an "ignorant non believer"? It was He who said He was bread. Here, I'll post His words again.
John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
I would suggest you not call Jesus an "ignorant non believer".
He is. These are deadbeats passing through FR today and tonight, encouraged by what the rock-throwing accomplished in Baltimare.
Unless, of course, you have some incontrovertible, logically-consistent proof to back up your claims? If so, I'd be interested to see them.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
There's one...How many do you want??? There's hundreds of 'em...
Amen.
Posting scripture is twisting scripture? God said He knows of no other Rock yet Catholics say there is someone else. Jesus said Peter was a movable rock but He was the unmovable bedrock on which His ekklesia would be built. Peter surely proved himself movable and unstable when he denied Christ three times and wimped out when dining with Gentiles and Jews showed up.
Also an AFSNCO, retired
No. Jesus God did a new Covenant rock.
The scripture settles it...
They can't refute any of it...They don't even try...Their argument is: 'it's not true', or 'you're wrong'...
The ekklesia of Christ is NOT built on the movable, unstable rock called Peter.
You are really funny. I am showing the truth of Christ's Church through Scripture, but you are taking Satan's position. And thinking you are right.
Talk to the Scripture I cite. Show where I am wrong.
Start with this one:
I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospelnot with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 1Cor 1:10-17
So a simple question - Did Christ want all his followers to hold the same beliefs?
John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
So it's still bread?
Then which Church is it?
LOL! Now that should confuse a Catholic.
Verga came to my son's wedding. Great time in Tulsa.
