If the bible isn't an authority, where does your religion get its so-called authority from???
How do you know?
How do you know theyre from the apostles, Paul in particular?
How do you know theyve been passed down faithfully?
Show us where Paul says that tradition trumps Scripture.
What is your source for verifying all of the above?
Please provide the sources for verification purposes.
Well, there you have it. Maybe Gamecock would like that one for his page.....
I am not the best at explaining things, so I’ll leave this for those who are truly interested in knowing the Truth (perhaps those who are lurking):

You most certainly did - right here in this post......

infool7: quote: "Thats a verse from the bible not an authority." unquote.
Nobody put words in your mouth. That's a copy and paste from your own comment.
Post a link to the comment. Prove where he did that.
Funny that Catholics complain about *snippets* of Scripture.
Reminds me of the Catholics who quote Jesus words *Listen to the church* as if it's a command of Jesus to people everywhere when all it is is a sentence fragment from a discourse Jesus was speaking.
And they use that to compel people to submit to Rome's claimed authority.
And that was a scandal.
More propaganda does NOT change the truth of what scripture says.
That's because they exposed and continue to expose the lies that Catholicism teaches.
Yup, the enemy doesn't want people to know the truth. He'd rather have them die happy, fulfilled anything that come to Jesus.
I agree that it certainly did nothing to make the Catholic church look good.
" Matthew, we have pretty solid evidence, was originally written in Aramaic."
He has no proof of that. He has a statement made with no backup documentation to that statement. Then he has a statement simply repeating the original statement that had no documented proof. It's pure hearsay.
Then we have the fact that the only language God saw fit to preserve was the Greek. Trying to second guess the Holy Spirit using hearsay will not turn out well for those who engage in it.
More false protestant interpretation of the Bible does not change the Truth.

“Youre assuming that Ted Kennedy was inside the Church when he died.”
I’m assuming there were a large number of things Ted Kennedy preferred to be inside of besides a church, yet because he was Catholic according to Catholic doctrine as explained in the article, he’s cooling his jets behind the pearly gates.
Yet someone equally depraved as him, without the same credential assigned by some earthly bureaucracy is beyond forgiveness.
The Catholic Church, according to the article, is like a country club membership - one must first be judged worthy of receiving the status bestowed by membership - requiring one to “fit in” to the rest of the membership, then you must pay the requisite fees, have dinner 4 times a month, etc. etc.
It makes perfect sense for Catholics to perpetuate this belief, but it strains credulity that they are worthy of granting Salvation to those in need of it, which is to say, all of us.
What utter baloney.
Muslims are the first to tell us infidels that our God is NOT their god.
This is a perfect example of how man-made religion deviates into error.
Someone Grubered the Catholic Church into believing a lie.
Did you actually read it?
"And the apostles and ancients assembled to consider of this matter. [7] And when there had been much disputing, Peter, rising up, said to them: Men, brethren, you know, that in former days God made choice among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. [8] And God, who knoweth the hearts, gave testimony, giving unto them the Holy Ghost, as well as to us; [9] And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. [10] Now therefore, why tempt you God to put a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
[11] But by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, in like manner as they also. [12] And all the multitude held their peace; and they heard Barnabas and Paul telling what great signs and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. [13] And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying: Men, brethren, hear me. [14] Simon hath related how God first visited to take of the Gentiles a people to his name. [15] And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written:

How does one KNOW it is false? Would you please provide the "infallible " rendering from the magiatrum?
And yet, there it is, in their catechism of the Catholic church.
Not necessarily.
"But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more."
Luke 12:48
How do you know it isn’t?
After they finished speaking, James replied, Brothers, listen to me. Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,
After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.
Therefore my judgment is (James speaking) that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.
Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church,(no mention of Peter here) to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers, with the following letter: The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings. Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth. For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.
