How weak is that church that one member working for an abortion clinic could ruin them?
It’s the churches job to lead sinners to God.
I forget however that most “churches” are nothing more than a country club or social gathering, not a house of prayer or worship. Not a place to change sinners. If you are not “one of us” you are not good enough and we don’t want “your kind”. I have found that churches like this say they care but really could care less if a person like this went to hell.
Beats me. But they have their rules. The sinner can go find a sinner-friendly church, if she wants. Those are a dime a dozen.
I suspect it was the unrepentant nature of the sinner that eventually got to the church. It's not as though she didn't get the message, and she wasn't barred from attending services.

Such is human nature. Some churches have apostates for preachers too.
Ecclesiology is a decent Bible study, to understand why the church acted in that fashion.
