Any signs of the FFI being given the "all clear" yet?
I can’t help but remember Salieri saying in Amadeus, ‘It’s not safe to interpret his Majesty’s decrees’.
In this case his Majesty is God.
As I posted yesterday,.....”The third secret?”
I had wrongly assumed this priest had repented and wanted to have a somewhat obscure ministry serving people who would not otherwise have access to the sacraments. I mean that is the only sensible reason I could think of for the lifting of the ban.
I am deeply disturb by the very mixed messages from Pope Francis regarding the direction of the Church and her message to the world.
The Church has been openly and vigorously oppressed in Cuba since the Castro regime came to power. I’d have a hard time thinking of a more untrue statement coming from a member of the clergy.
I thought Che Guevara was the most significant Latin American of all-time ?? I mean, you see more T-shirts & flags with his face on them......
Pope Francis scares the hell out of me sometimes!!
Sometimes??? He scares the hell out of me nearly every day with his dumb daily statements. I had my doubts about Francis starting shortly after his election. I no longer have any doubts. For me, the next conclave can’t come soon enough.
The Liberation Theology Pope
Pope Francis’ new Trinity-’Fidel, D’Escoto and the Holy Spiritu.
Priests are not allowed to celebrate any sacrament (i.e., they are suspended) if they occupy an office that involves “the exercise of civil power.” D’Escoto is in the government of Nicaragua right now!
This Pope is a menace. His election was the result of corruption and stupidity in the College of Cardinals, and is a punishment for the Church.
Pope Francis new Trinity-Fidel, DEscoto and the Holy Spiritu. It's scary how much this has permeated the roman catholic church.
It is not a doctrine found in the Bible. Must be more of that "tradition".
Dittos.
I wonder whether we’ll have 2 retired popes first.
Fidel Castro is the new Prophet for the Catholic Church?
wow. That is a whole new level of stupid.
One retired and one committed Pope?
Kind of makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the Twilight Zone, eh?
We could still get someone even worse.
The Post Vatican II Church is in the Twilight Zone.
NO NEED to worry since the Church is guided by God. It's been around for 2000 years and will be around until God ends it all.

From Wikipedia: The Church has survived the following persecutions.
Roman persecution (52-312)
Persians, under Sapor II (339 or 340), under the instigation of the Persian priests, initiated a severe persecution of the Christians.
Among the Goths (340-526)
Under Julian the Apostate (361-63)
Among the Vandals (422-523)
In Arabia: (6th century) Christians were brutally persecuted by the Jewish King Dunaan, no less than five thousand, including the prince, Arethas, being said to have suffered execution in 523 after the capture of Nagra.
Among the Lombards (568-590)
Under the Iconoclasts: (726-842) The troubles brought on the Church of the East by the Iconoclastic emperors cover a period of one hundred and twenty years.
Under the Muslims: (852-87) The persecution was begun in 850, was continued by Mohammed and lasted with interruptions till 960, when the Christians were strong enough to intimidate their persecutors.
The Protestant Reformation: (1517) It was the schism within Western Christianity initiated by Martin Luther, John Calvin, and other early Protestant Reformers.
MODERN TIMES: During the second millennium the Church has continued to suffer persecution in her mission of spreading the Gospel, especially in Japan and China. (See JAPANESE MARTYRS; MARTYRS IN CHINA).
Poland, Turkey (Ottoman Empire), England, Holland, Nazis, USSR have all seen persecution of Catholics.

The Church WILL survive. NOTHING makes for converts like persecution.
When Pope John Paul II ordered Priests to remove themselves from politics, at least our Liberal Jesuit Democrat Congressman Father Drinan complied. This guy apparently flipped him the finger.
