I simply gave you the Greek words used in the text. As I indicated the Hebrew word used for identification of Jesus is the exact word used to identify the Father. (Yeah I realized when you mentioned it that I had mistyped Greek instead of Hebrew habits die hard I quess)
>>Why would Jesus be called a Father<<
Are they not one God?
>>Because he was a life giver as he said his Father had life in Himself he had granted Jesus to have life in himself. (John 5:21,26)<<
Jesus was both fully man and fully God. All to often people dont differentiate between the two functions.
I’m sure.
I’m actually used to not getting answers to questions.
I’m usually surprised when I *DO* get one.
No he didnt state He is the Father.
He stated “He and the the Father are one”
That is not the same thing and it has been explained earlier in the thread BUT YOU WILL NOT SEE.
NO MAN HAS SEEN GOD.
What part of He was fully man do you not understand. People saw the man Jesus. They didnt physically see the God Jesus.
In John 1:18, the apostle wrote: No one has seen God at any time. In Exodus 33:20 God said to Moses: You cannot see My face; for no man can see Me and live.
Plenty of people saw Jesus’s face.
But what is the use? You will not see!!
Go back to Isaiah and see again what we are to call Jesus. Ive posted it several times. Part of that was almighty God.
I use several different types of translations, and I also consult the original texts.
This thread is entering the weird zone.
Thats a fact. I have never seen such blatant denial of clear teaching in scripture. The meaning of lest there come a falling away first is becoming clear.
>> The meaning of lest there come a falling away first is becoming clear. <<
.
The meaning is contained in the same verse in which it is invoked, “and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.”
“making it personal”
Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.
“making it personal”
Wait... whut?
What are you saying? It doesn’t make any sense.
So you are saying you dont have to believe in the Trinity to be saved.
***That would be a side note to this thread. Open up a thread if you want to examine such a religious matter. Go ahead and invite me and I will answer honestly.
There is NOT a huge pile of evidence that Jesus claimed to be God.
***SO, someone like you can look at post #294 as put to you and can say such a thing only by being willfully blind.

Any reasonable person confronted with such a volume of historical evidence would realize that they have to throw out all of recorded history in order to accommodate your irrational claim.
And still you insist on intruding into my posts.
