My great-etc grand-uncle was a Catholic, joined the army of the Potomac as a private, and at some point along the way became a mason, ended the war a shot-up captain.
He died a 33rd degree, estranged from the Church. I imagine the one was related to the other.
Mainline Protestants? Liberal Protestants? Liberal Catholics?
Incidentally, Catholics voted for Obama essentially the same percentage as the rest of the population ~ slightly above 50%.
And I sincerely hope you aren't seriously attempting to imply Obama is a secret Catholics. Such a laughable notion blows any Catholic conspiracies about masons right out of the water.
That’s too bad. As far as I can tell the masons don’t make demands of a person’s religious activities. 33 Degree Mason is quite an accomplishment. Looking online, most seem to easily be in their 70’s.
I wasn't implying it at all - but the authors were.
And so, how would you know of what goes on in the higher degrees of sublime masonry? How can you state that you know all the revealed secrets at higher levels if you only learn what’s taught you from your fellow masons, rather than investigate yourself before you swear into it?
